Title: Senior Captain Exam!
Post by: EHM-1617 Iain on July 13, 2006, 04:16:23 pm
Took mine at Manchester last night in an EHM PMDG B738, which I flew up from Heathrow as a practise flight just before. I am very very pleased with my score of 94/100!

Theory was (IMHO) easy now that it's multiple choice, practical was nerveracking but possible, including lots of radial intercepts, missed approaches (ATC induced), 3 shots at the ILS including practising crazy intercept angles (80*) with no overshoot ;D, METAR decoding, a hold, a SID and a STAR, and crossing restrictions.

It took about 3 hours in total. Thanks to Luke GB-TC for taking the exam and for an excellent debrief.

Go on you FCs, go and take the plunge, the water's not so cold. You have 94% to shoot at ;):]
