Title: EHM Airbus A340-500

As you may know, we are planning to change the "very big but not more special" A340-600 to the -500 variant in the fleet. The -500 variant was the longest range aircraft in the world, before the appearance of the Boeing 777-200LR. The new aircraft is in the painting hanger now, but the model will be the still existing, quite old Simubild freeware model.

For those, who would like to mix the PSS payware Airbus panel and the much better flight dynamics with this oldy exterior model, here is a nice file.

Yup...the A340 was left out from last year refreshing therapy because I waited for iFDG for their almost finished A340-500. But they did not finish it and there is not any news from the project since 1 year. So it is time to remove the black nose from that giant Airbus as well ;)

juhu good idea ifdg makes good models and PSS isn't bad also

The aircraft's flight dynamics is optimized for FS2004, also for the PSS A340 panel set. Please, if you have this payware, try out the plane ;) You only need to alias the PSS panel folder in the panel.cfg file.

I just need to confirm, the plane is freeware, right? Or is it a texture for a payware? A little bit confused!

This is a freeware model, but the flight dynamics is copied and edited from the PSS A340-200, also the dynamics and special options are optimized for the PSS A340-200 panel.

I hope it is clear now. So, if you have the PSS A340-200 you can get a nice A340 panel with this freeware and nice A340-500 model.

OK - just did the panel merge - works fine and fly's very nicely! - However there isnt any tiresmoke on touchdown.....

Other than that - seems a great job :)

Thanks mate. ;) Yes, it is a quite old visual model, but currently that is the most we have in the freeware market.
