Boeing have nothing more to do, they've obviously resorted to taking the piss to get a higher market share.........

Didnt really find the video that funny, what i found funny was the statement i  thought of!

Hehehehe...

I'm a Seattle fanboy, so I did find that mildly amusing (I tittered, that's about it...) The accents were all wrong, suppose they didn't want to get into too much trouble - I'd have gone with Monty Pythonesque "outrageous French accents" if I'd been in charge....

Haha ! I like it very much :)

Although it is true for the 7E7, that it is a completely new, while the A350 is built like a LEGO toy, but Boeing also used previous designs and aircraft parts in its new aircrafts...just remember to the longly seen 727 nose that was transformed into 737 later, or the 767 nose, or the 767 engines that appeared on the new 747 etc... And just check Embraer: all of their airplanes uses the same nose and fuselage section ;D ...does not matter if it is jet or turboprop. That is normal in the most cases.

The only difference is the Airbus answer to the 7E7 (or 787) is laid on a different thinking. They need to do something really fast now ! So fast, that they applied around 500 new engineers to the project. (I was almost enter the project too ;) ) And if you need a so fast solution, you cannot design everything from the beginning. I feel that the A350 is a "just let it be, so the costumers can choose from another brand" kinda aircraft, while the 787 is the result of a long, technolgy development process.

exactly :P the A350 im sure will use that same boring airbus panel set, because they cant be bothered to make a newer one...
When you look at the new 78/E7 you can see that it is something new and special, and the makers of the video have a point!!;D

It is said that Boeing used when designing the 787 the knowledge adquired from the Sonic Cruiser project.
In that case Boeing would n´t be offering a completely brand new design

That Boeing Video has been around for a few weeks now and I think it may have touched a raw nerve in Toulouse as they officially scrapped the A350 and luanched the A350-XWB

http://www.airbus.com/en/aircraftfamilies/a350/a350_xwb/index.html

I love the new cockpit window, that looks really cool. When Airbus announced the original A350 was dead and that they were going back to the drawing board to design a completely new plane, I breathed a sigh of relief. I hope this helps them through the A380 fiasco as it would be such a shame if the world of Airliners contained Boeings and errrrr Boeings!

Also remember, The A380 is flying, the 787 is still on paper, lets wait and see what problems Boeing hits in production on this baby before we start digging a grave for Airbus!

Haha! I like it!

I don't think there is a problem with Airbus using all of those different parts to make the one airplane. I mean, if they make a functional, fuel efficient, reliable aircraft using components from different aircraft, I think that's great. Kind of like using the best of the best to make one excellent airplane.

If you mentioned the Sonic Cruiser...that is what I am talking about: the 787 is the result of a technological development. You cannot say it is not new, because they had a concept of the same features of the aircraft. Also, I am not sure they cancelled the SonicCruiser project.

But wow ! Airbus did it really with the brand new A350 ! It is really really something new ! But again...looks too much like the 787. ;) I am just curious how the hell they gathered this brand new wing within so short time !? Of course it is now only an "artists impression" as it looks, but can the real thing maybe the result of industrial spying ?
