Post by: EHM-1358 Tim on May 23, 2004, 10:55:07 am
I was thinking of making a promo video for Euroharmony. But I need something to record what happens on my screen. Does anyone know were to get a free video capture, that amkes films of what happens on your screen.

There's also CamStudio, it's freeware (I guess it's open source too), once I made an EHM promo video using it. :)

FRAPS is hard to work with, I really hate it. I'm going to try CamStudio as Gergely suggested

Good idea Tim, good luck! But maybe it should be left to management to create something like this?

I can see what you're saying Rich but surely there's no harm in making things like a video and then showing them to the management to see what they think?

Does anyone have any other ideas of a software I could use. THe ProCam isnt free any more. It seems to have been taken over by Macromedia and is about $95:o

Yes, but it doesn't make an AVI (or similar) video, just records the plane position every second or so and you can replay it.

Too bad that camstudio has gone payware... it was an open-source project and I used it to make ehm videos (I think I still have one of them, I'll check it).

If it comes to making a mpeg or avi movie, I can do it. Just provide me with stuff, ideas or whatever and I can make something. (I have Pinnacle Studio 9 and Adobe Premiere)

Yeah, I guess the 'laggines' issue is due to the fact that the program couldn't write the video enough fast to the disk.

I just found this link through FlightSim.com. Maybe this is something that is suitable enough to make a video with?
