Post by: EHM-1980 Brian on September 28, 2006, 11:14:20 pm
Hi Guys - I have recently downloaded flight logger version 3.07 and everytime i start it it comes up with the following error:

' cannot initialize data binding ' and when i press ok it says:

' run time error 9 - subscript out of range '

Does anyone know how to fix this or am I doing something wrong? :s

Ok,

in your Flight logger Directory you'll find a DLL file called : MSSTDFMT.DLL

Copy this file to your WINDOWS/SYSTEM 32

Then go to :

Start > Run > and copy the following

regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\MSSTDFMT.DLL

it should come up with something like Register of DLL complete (something along those lines)

this will register the DLL and then you will be able to use Flight Logger.

Sorry, sometimes this just happens ;)

I used to get the "Runtime error 9: subscript out of range" message when I was a member of the KATL hub. If you are, simply move to one of the European hubs ;)

Ben, the 3.07 update was made to fix this error, the flight logger is now compatible with KATL, or at least as far as we can tell it is. Brian is a member of EGLL hub anyway :|

Hi,

Yes, two things are corrected on this new version:

- KATL compatibility. Now, all pilots that moved from KATL because of FL, can come back to KATL.
- Save PIREP and send Offline Pireps is solved out. Don't forget that you cannot send offline ProPilot PIREPS.

Regards,

While we're here on the subject of Flight Logger help, I'm having problems with my FSUIPC. When I begin FS, I usually have FL running in the background. Before even the main menu of FS has loaded, up comes a little message saying that "One or more programs accredited with FSUIPC cannot run it when unregistered. For more details, please read FSUIPC.LOG". This means that when I make an EHM flight, FLogger won't record details. I tried uninstalling, redownloading and reinstalling FSUPIC but it didn't do anything and I'm still getting this message.

I don't know what to do! I read the user's manual for FSUPIC and I got the impression that we have to pay for it to get the full, registered version. This is wierd... FLogger was working fine last week!

Ben, try running FLogger *after* FS is running and you're sat in the the cockpit at the gate. Let us know if it makes a difference.

@Conrad: in reply to your PM of a day or two ago gates.to/FSNet ;D
