Title: Atlantic Airways crash

Yesterday an Atlantic Airways  overshoot rwy 33 at ENSO

Of sixteen people onboard 12survived with minor to sever injury. 3pax and 1 crew was found dead in the burned out wreck. THe plane went down a 50m steep hill and settles bursting in flames.
The plane is: BAe 146-200A reg: OY-CRG dd03/88

What a shame... the wreckage looks like a real mess. Thank goodness 12 people survived.

Well yes and the media is going crazy about the aircraft has overshoot the runway on the Faroe Islands once before in the the early 90ies.

To be honest, the Professional Pilots are saying that it is a god job it happened to a BA146 as it is built like a tank and if it were a CRJ or similar, it would have been likely that there were no survivors.

A very sad event and I feel for the families and freinds of the deceased.

Very true indeed Phil, just thinking about the CRJ100 that chrashed in the U.S some time ago only one survivor.....

Let our thoughst go to the relavtives and the friends of the deceased.
