Dear pilots,
I noticed that the Sukhoi 80 is not as popular in Class1 as the Beech-1900. Maybe the reason is the low support of the Sukhoi (no panel, bad dynamics), or the existence of the PMDG Beech, I do not know.
Some pilots were complaining of the flying skills of the Sukhoi 80. As it is a STOL aircraft, it needs to fly a bit different than the rest of our planes. To give more joyment for you, I modified the flight dynamics of the plane, so it is much more easy, and presumably more real to fly. You can DOWNLOAD IT HERE (http://www.fly-euroharmony.com/~aircraft/class_1/ehm.su80.dynamics.2k4.zip).
As we are fixing the fleet again, it is the perfect time to think about existence of not-so-popular airplane models. I personally love that Sukhoi, as it is a very modern, a unique plane, and with the new dynamics it is really easy to fly. But if you still do not like the plane, maybe it is the time also to ask you, if you would like to have a change in Class1.
Change for what ? Good question. There are some possible planes on the horizon, but at the moment I think neither of them brings much more fun into the game than the Sukhoi 80. There are some lower quality planes from Mike Stone's hangar like a Jetstream 31, a Saab 340. Also there is a young team that is developing a Jetstream 41 for payware/freeware levels of FS2004 and FSX (www.precisionaerobus.com).
The question is simple... Would you like to replace the Sukhoi 80 in Class 1, and if so, what for ? Before answering yes or no, please download the new dynamics, and try out the bird on a short testflight, maybe you will get closer to the bird, if you did not before. (the attached ZIP file contains those 2 files, which you need to copy over the original ones)
Waiting your answers. Thx.

Well by replacing the SU80 we give away our only STOL turboprop. i think by replacing it with an BAe31/41 we would reduce our divercity in our fleet to, wich i think is a good thing for this VA. And i think it's likly that a panel for the SU80 will arrive as the plane is nearing entry into real service as the final flight test are beeing made this auntum/winter. Let's keep it I like flying it alot when i fly Class 1 flights

Dont replace the Sukhoi 80 in Class 1, its a its easy to fly special for starters, and i fly it with my eyes closed, :]

Personally, I feel it should stay. I'm not a great fan of it but as Christian says, it will be coming into real life production soon and therefore new pilots might like the opportunity to fly an aircraft hot-and-steaming from the production line. Is there a possibility of adding another plane to the Class 1 fleet, meaning there would be three aircraft in Class 1? Because I miss the BAe Jetstream 41 from before the last fleet change. And, of course, there's a personal sentimental value there as it was the first aircraft I flew in EuroHarmony's colors on a EuroHarmony scheduled flight ;D

I would say we keep the SU-80 :) Its nice to fly and its unique due to its design. In fact, i'll go fly it on a flight now.

I am with Ben, I started too with the Jetstream so it has a personal value, bot I like the Sukhoi too, and if I am ask to choose I will choose the Sukhoi, only because it has something different and I think it is nice having a big variety of planes, epsecially for Class 1 pilots.

Thank you for the comments guys. So it was decided: we keep the Sukhoi ! ;D
About the 3rd plane in Classs1, I think it cant be done, after we cut the number of planes per class. I made my first ever EHM flight in a JS31, so I have a lot of memories too with plane, but unfortunately there is not a nice freeware model out yet.

Ohh that's great Robert, my next flght will be in one:]

i have to say when i first flew the Sukhoi i didnt enjoy it at all but since downloading the new flight dynamics it is controlling much better...... it still wont be my class 1 aircraft of choice but i dont think we should change it for another plane! :>

The Sukhoy with the new flight dinamics would be perfect for me, Class 1 flyer, if we had a good panel for it, I merge the Beech 1900C PMDG panel though.
-
Well, it is possible we will make a basic panel from the default gauges, but that is just a basic panel, and does not know when can it be finished. A mergeing can be the best option if you have a VERY favourite turboprop panel. ;)

I would really like to see the SAAB 340 on the fleet, because I just got my hands on a payware model and would be fun to fly it for ehm :)

and here's me thinking we had this debate all settled?? :p i really do think that the Beech 1900 and the Sukhoi are the perfect balance between new and not so new aircraft so can we please keep the Sukhoi??
