Title: Sunday LGAV Hub Flight In
Post by: EHM-0471 Peter on October 12, 2006, 11:40:38 pm
This is the official announcement of the first LGAV Hub Fly In event, approved by Conrad Oldcorn.

Date: Sunday, 15 October
Time: 18.00 zulu ( starting time for the first departure )

FIRST LEG: LGAV ( Athens ) to LJLJ ( Ljubljana ) - 680 Nm
Route: LGAV SID PIKAD UL53 GARTA UV62 YNN UL611 SPL UL862 SABAD STAR LJLJ
Recommended Flt level: 300 to 340
Recommended aircraft: Class 4 or Class 5
Aproximate time: 2 hours
Alternate airport: LOWG ( Graz )
LJLJ/ILS approach: Rw 31/ ILS 110.50

Special NOTAM for participants:

After landing in LJLJ, every pilot has to park on the main apron and MUST wait 15 minutes before requesting clearance to LOWI. Leave the time and the weather running, just change the Flight plan and report it when asking for clearance to LOWI. You may change the aircraft, but keep the same park position. For the beginning of the event set your Flight time to 15.00 local Athens time to have a good chance to observe the scenery along the route. Due to this, every participating pilot must remark into his FP the following: SIMULATING DAYTIME.

SECOND LEG: LJLJ (Ljubljana) to LOWI  (Innsbruck) - 147 Nm
Route: LJLJ SID TELSI L608 VIW STAR LOWI
Recommended Flt level: 200 to 240
Aproximate time: 30 min
Alternate airport EDDM ( Muenchen )
LOWI ILS approach: Rw 26/ ILS 111.10

NOTAM: Special attention to holding point RTT at Innsbruck - due to possible long lasting holding ( 360 ) in the case of heavy duty traffic at LOWI
Slightly tricky approach to Rw 26 - following ILS path and glide slope to rw 26, you have to turn slightly to the right to become lining up with the center line of the rw and do this just a few moments before passing the threshold. Reduce appropaching speed to minimum possible.

The event will take place on IVAO Network. ATC service is not provided for sure. Pilots are encouraged to use TS Company channel ( ID 85.8.136.153:8737 under LGAV HUB ROOM ) for personal communication prior departure. When unable to use TS, go to MP Chat text window.
Recomended scenery: LGAV as downloaded from our Download section, the rest is default FS9 scenery.

I'll be present on LGAV apron 30 minutes prior 18.00 zulu as EHM 0471 - Fokker 70, parking spot B50.

Warmly welcomed on this Sunday evening to Athens.

Mhh, LOWI EAST-Approach over Rattenberg NDB - very challenging. I hope I will have time - I don't know yet.

By the way: For LJLJ (Ljubiljana there is a FS2004-Freeware on AVSIM (    ljljfree_2k4.zip).

I did not yet try it.

I wish to thank to all EHM pilots who joined tonight Fly-in organised by LGAV Hub. I hope all of you enjoyed in flying and some specialities we had during the event. Everybody who had set up the REAL weather had a chance to land in LJLJ at zero visibility due to fog and I hope you enjoyed also in tricky approach and landing in Innsbruck. I am glad our Company channel on TS also functioned very well, and luckily we had also a full ATC support from entering to Croatia Fir ( Zagreb control ) to Innsbruck app.

Peter
