Hi Guys, thought some of you may be interested in this. Haven't read it cover to cover yet but it seems pretty comprehensive. It was done by one of the DEV team from PMDG so it should be pretty good:

Another resource, actually provided on PMDGs Wiki

Here's the latest and greatest tweak to date...... New Direct X9 drivers.... Zzzz do I hear you all nodding off to sleep???? Well download them and try them.....
FSX 5-10% Improvement in FPS at optimal settings.
FS9 10%+ Improvement in FPS at Optimal settings.
I've tried them and although FSX was marginally better, FS9 loves them, my FS9 is really flying now!
Go and get them now from:

Cheers
**EDIT**
If you try the new DX9 runtime above, make sure you set a restore point prior to doing it as it has had a negative effect on some PC's apparently.

I think this must be great with Vista and FSX (http://www.pcpro.co.uk/news/95175/apple-mac-pro-is-crowned-the-fastest-pc-in-the-uk.html)
