I should say it's a One Time DC9-30 (Model DC9-50 used in this package) parked at Johannesburg (FAJS)
ps. modelinfo from Project AI
-

Vietnam Airlines, Cambodian or something...looks d**n familiar...
-
Something like VARIG??? I don't know if varig is an airliner too...:]
-
Javier, your thinking in the right direction go on :%
-
hehe, saw an advertisment on TV and saw a similar livery;D
err, im sure its one of the South-East Asian Countries' Carriers...
-
hmm, pretty sure its Vietnam Airlines and from what my AI planes tell me, it looks like 2 other vietnam Airlines planes in old livery down there...
-
Vietnam Airlines...100% ;)
-
Yeah great job guys!!!
It's indeed an Vietnam Airlines B-763 parked at Noibai Intl (VVNB)
and yes your right about the other planes aswell.
Your next Javier?
-
Next up!
Only the tail is shown as the fuselage gives away the name of the airline:]
-
SilkAir
-
Yup yup, SilkAir is my guess too ;)
-
(http://home.online.no/~charlab/artimages/tail.JPG)
Well here is some more to guess for :%
Should not be to hard i hope, maybe i go a little off topic by using realworld pictures??
-
It's Norwegian Airlines, and it has a picture of Thor Heyerdahl
I think on it's tail.
I'm not sure whether that's its name, or is it norwegian air shuttle? i know it's norwegian!

not at all Christian - we can use real airliners or fs versions.... they are after all pretty much the same thing arent they ;D - I think Matt it be your turn my boy....
-
Well, I'm not sure whether mine should count, considering I saw the exact same plane at Bergen....
Although, I don't think that's a rule.;D
-
The propper name is...
Norwegian Air Shuttle
-
Well yes it is Norwegian Air Shuttle, and the person on the tail is Alf Prøysen.
And yes Matt they got anotherplane with picture of Thor Heyerdahl on the tail.
-
Well I have a new one here:
Good luck everyone
-
Braathens, stop giving us Norweigian Airlines, they are too easy:P
-
eh, it was my turn anyway. Don't worry Razza! I'll come up with something difficult!
*panicks*
-
(http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/72/airlinesjy2.png)
Ok. This is the first time I've ever come across this airline, so I don't know whether it's one that nobody will know, or everybody will know. I've had to edit the picture to hide the name though
-
It isn't by any chance a Boeing 737, registered D2-TBO, of Angolan Airlines? Just for your information, the photograph was taken at Jan Smuts Airport (which incidentally is now Johannesburg Intl. Airport). ;D

EuroFly, saw it in Bergamo when i Was there, distinctive grey tones and snazy winglets.
Classic Livery...not many of these around these days...
-
EASY!
Thats a Eurofly A320-214, and if I'm not mistaken this is I-EEZF at LIME taken in April!!!
Am I good or what! LOL
;)
EDIT! OK Razza, you beat me to it! :)

-
Wow that was tough!
Spantax DC-8
It took me a while to find that livery!
EDIT Probably DC-8-61 ECDVB judging by the letters on the U/C flap.
-
Ok, Here's another golden oldie. Actually flew on this bird on my first trip to the states!
(http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/7002/iehi2.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)
Not too hard!
(EDIT After checking my old Holiday photos, it was a trip to Tenerife in 1981 that should give you a hint! I flew to the states with this airline a year later on a different plane!)

Phil I think it's:
Laker Airways Skytrain Airbus A300B4-203 REG: G-BIMC
Picture taken at: Helsinki - Vantaa (HEL / EFHK)
-
Correct! The good old Skytrain! This was a proper locost airline! :)

America West Express (Mesa Airlines)
Canadair CL-600-2B19 Regional Jet CRJ-200LR
First plane in the row
-
@ Christian - Sorry mate, I forgot.... It's a Norsk Air Embraer 120.
@ Brian - America West Express (Messa) Canadair CRJ-200LR (Just a tip, its easy to find a plane when you leave the registration in the Photo! ;) )
-
Ahh forgot to mension that:%
-

(http://img276.imageshack.us/img276/7792/woaec1.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)
I want to know the airline and the type! :) It's hard so I made it easier by including a bit of background!
-
New one:
-
hmmmm...seems to remind me of colorline, a scandanavian shipping company, not entirely sure if they had their own fleet of 737's.
That is definately their logo...
-
Well Colorline is the biggest Norwegian ferry company,
Owned by Niels Olav Sundt also the owner of Sundt Air.

-
(http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/8537/untitled1yw9.jpg)
-

Phil you have probably been there.......
-
ok guys probably an easy one......
-
@ Christian - I have no idea on that one, I know the ship is the P&O Oriana, but that's it! :)
@ Brian - Alaskan Airlines 737 & MD80's and it looks like Seattle by the elevated roadways to me although it could be LAX.
-
Well it's norwegian got and the picture is taken in Rosendal, operates Cessna 206 and one DHC2 Beaver.,
But actually Tim and Razza were wrong about your the DHC2
they named it DCH witch ends up in De Canada Havilland
-
Why does the alaskan Airplane in the centre say Thanks! ?? LOL :]
-
not sure actually paolo..... probably means thanks for flying with us or something? ( bad guess i know ) ;D
-
Lets rewoke this thread:D
(http://img451.imageshack.us/img451/8439/bilde155vy4.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)
Not an airliner but.... though:)
And if you guess what the wreck in the background is 'll buy you an PMDG MD-11 when released
-
mmmm....let me guess....is this a spitfire :% ???
The only thing I can say about this is that it's very very old :]
-
I don't think it's a spitfire, I think it's a Northrop A-17, but I'm not sure. That would be weird, since the Northrop is American, and it's got the RAF symbol, but who knows.
P.S why is there a Norwegian flag in the center of the plane lol
-

Now you have something to research here Matt;)
-
Ok. I think the plane in the foreground is a Dauntless divebomber from World War Two, and I think the wrecked plane in the background is a Curtiss Jenny - am I right? ;D
-
Sorry Ben, check the markings on the wreck might be a tip:P
-
Well, I reckon the plane in the background is a Junkers Ju-52. I'm having trouble with the main plane, though I did find out that Norwegians bought the Northrop A-17, but it might be Christian editing the photo!;)
-
The aircraft is restored to original markins and livery. Photo has not been edited.
-
The plane in the foreground is British, maybe given to the Norwegians to help defend against the German invasion in 1940? 2nd guess: the Vought Chesapeake (British version of the American SB2U Vindicator).
-
Maybe I'll try again and revive this thread again after I have chrashed it with some unsolvable questions........
Try this one then:8
-
Oh mate, that is too easy, its on the Engine!!!
The SUD aviation SE 210 Super 12 Caravelle of Danish carrier Sterling Airways!
-
Well an easy start:)
I knew that it is on the engine, and anyway the windows will always give away the Caravelle.
-

OK Mr. Smartypants! :) Whats this?
-
(http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc41/baszw1/jada.jpg)
Another shoot:o
Phil you probably got this one to I'm sure
-
I am pretty certain it's a DC8 of Spantax????
-
my guess is a DC-8 too :]
-
I think Phil's one is an Interflug airplane from the 80's.
-
BAC-111 came to mind for Phils, but now i cant decide if its one of those or a Trident...:P
EDIT :
Now i have decided its a 111 :p
(http://img160.imageshack.us/img160/2661/1234272wj8.jpg)
Shouldnt be too hard...
-
BAC 1-11 and it looks like the Cayman Airways livery is still on it;)
-

-
I think it is the Japanese transporter...Mitsubishi...something :P
-
Lockheed C-130H Hercules (L-382)
;)
-
Yes mine was a BAC 111 of Cayman Airways... Well Done Jonathan for being first with that and Christian for noticing the livery!
