Post by: EHM-1921 Ivan on November 05, 2006, 06:19:16 am
Hi.
This might be a dumb question, but how can I unlock planes from the museum?

Thanks ;D I love flying old airliners, but there aren't many good...
Can anyone suggest some models? (freeware)
Till now the only one that's really well made is the Project Tupolev Tu-154...

actually, we had the Tu-154 before the fleet restructuring, wasnt there then so i dont know much about it.:]

Tu-154 was not in the EHM fleet. It is a very nice bird, a true resemblance of the B727.

There were plans to include birds, like Super Constellation, B707, B727, Comet, Boeing Clipper and maybe Junkers-52. So far, only the DC-3 succeeded on the casting :)

I think it was Robert's private jet, since the two pictures I saw of it (one at Chicago O'Hare Int'l, and the other at Osaka Kansai I think) were both taken by Robert.

Anyway, a vintage fleet sounds really cool!

Javier, you could repaint the A380 in EuroHarmony colors!! Don't think the MT would allow it though :>

Ah, I was talkling to robert about repaints quite a while ago. You can have a go at repainting, but you need roberts thumbs up before hand!

Well, as soon  as you do not present any screenshots, and not use the repaint on EuroHarmony routes -especially when it is an unsupported model- you can repaint any airplanes for your fun. ;)

FSRepaint is the system I use, but you can't really make shades very well.

whats the best way of getting that? can you download it off the internet? or do you have to actually physically purchase it? any freeware paint programs? ( i'm such a tight-fisted.... )  :)

It's Payware, you can order it off amazon for about £15 (for the UK. Not sure whether it differs for Ireland). Why does it always change for Ireland?

not sure actually...... probably some sort of tax or something?? us poor irish... :'(    - the exchange rate for the euro too probably has some effect on it

I didn't know you had to use MS Repaint. My Captain Sim 757 comes with a repaint kit, but I think I need photoshop to make the repaints which might make things slightly tricky...

yeah Traffic 2005 comes with a paint kit aswell but its not that good - the planes you paint are as blurred as the actual traffic ones!!  :%

I am sure there is not a general tutorial out there about painting. You need to learn by yourself, I believe. I still use the good'ol Photoshop v6. It is 6 year old now ;D You should ask some friends if they had some dusty Photoshop CD-s that may offer you for free ;)

Vickers VC10 is the ultimate, also nothing like a good old Connie, the Constellation.

i think the museum section will be a very popular part of euroharmony when it does eventually open..... maybe possibly an idea for sometime in the new year?  ;)

The museum is open. Even if there would be more aircrafts in it, there there was not much more functionality as now. Flying the good oldies, just for fun ;)
