But you won't see the A380F in FEDEX livery for a while after they canceled the order for 10A380F changing them to 15 B777F orders and options for further 15 B777F.

A question for the management; will EuroHarmony be putting the A380 into the fleet? ;D;D;D That would be so awesome!

Hi Ben,

Current policy is that we don't fly a plane which is not available commercially. Whether we take on orders in the future depends on the quality of addons and how easy it will fit in to our schedule.

The A380 question has popped up a few times in the forum so here are a few facts:

1) The first A380 will not enter commercial service until Q4 2007 giving us 1 year to make a decision.
2) The A380 will probably require a class of its own as it does not fit easily in to Class 7 ops.
3) On introduction next year there will be approximately 28 Airports world wide capable of receiving the A380 for Pax ops. This severly limits it's operation to our airline.

That paints a very bleak picture I know, but I am sure closer to its inception to service in the Real World, Robert will be looking at freeware models to see how they stack up and how easy they are to paint and fit in to the fleet. Of course, we could always just take it on as a Freighter in the Cargo division which will widen it's operations but that may also require a new class!

In short Ben, no decision has been made yet regarding the A380. We haven't said yes to it, only "not yet!" If it does fit in to the fleet somewhere, I don't know when or where?

Oh, ok Philip. That clears things up. Just think about that... a Class 8 aircraft! Hehe...

Well, it does carry much more than the 747...:8;D

...Robert will be looking at freeware models...

Make sure we get models with 2, not 4, thrust reversers:]

And a suggestion, if we do have the A380 in our fleet next time, We should consider the A380F for EuroCargo too!:)

And Airbus, Please! No more delays for it! Or we'll have to wait even longer! :]:]:]

I think this plane is definetly too big...it looks quite scaring on the landing and on the take off with crosswinds...:o
I am not looking foward to fly on one of those things! :]

hmm. we could take out the B777 out of EuroBusiness, and put it into a class 8 with the A380? After all, it is a fast aircraft, so we could have the massive A380, and the quick 777 together?

I think a better idea is to await and see if Boeing goes forrward with it's B748I and then make a class of it's own for those to aircraft then. A possible class 8 for the A380 and B748I.
Just a humble suggestion:s

I'm not up-to-date with the development with this aircraft, but I do know that it's still only around the design stage. What's the latest?

Hehe, A380 again :)

I can tell you that I got a Revell plastic kit (the Emirates one) from my friends to my birthday, and I like the kit very much. I can also tell you that the Robert Versluys made freeware plane is already on my painting board. It does not mean anything official, I just thought I will try out the new livery on the monster, and will make some pics probably.

I like the idea of a new class if we had that 2 planes on the list. But unfortunately we cannot put every nice aircraft into the fleet. Also we will not raise again the plane numbers inside the classes. It is not a choice against Airbus, it is a decision after the rules habits and traditions at EHM ;)
