I hop you enjoyed the Christmas, you did got a lot of presents, not as me...at least had a nice flight yesterday ;D

I decided to bring home one of the heavies that somebody left abroad :P I selected a 747 that stationed in Chile. Flight 7167 from Santiago de Chile to Lisbon.

The weather was nice, a little cloudy above the airport.

We headed toward east, until Rio, then turned toward north. Climbing over the Andes. The plane was quite heavy so it was very embarracing when I saw FMC pushes the bird up with only 800 FPM, among this steep hills.

Left the mountains and reached over the big Pampa. Still heading east.

It became dark very fast, and I missed the turning over Rio. It was a fascinating view although flying over that biiig bay. Within an hour we left the South-American coastline, and were heading north, directly toward Madeira, the next landscape on the route.

Some hours later, the sun rised on the east side again. Fantastic colors appeared on the horizon.

Passing over Funchal, 1.5 hours left. Dear passengers, wakey wakey ! It is breakfest time...

An hour later the Portuguese coastline appeared on the horizon. In Lisbon there was a beautiful sunny day with no cluds and calm winds. What else could a pilot expect after a 12 hour long tirinf intercontinental flight.

The descend was quite long and slow. Finally the city appeared and we could make the final turn toward runway 03.

The landing went very well ! No problems were this time with the PMDG. Also no PP penalties...expect the beacon bug. We have just arrived to Lisbon !

And again ! The colleagues blocked all the heavy gates, so we had to park in the GA parking... at least some friendly planes were there to join.

Post by: EHM-1001 Robert on December 29, 2006, 09:45:40 am: I use ProjectAI, and the downloadable EHM-AI traffic pacakge, that built on also Project-AI models, and scheduled on a 1...2 year old EHM timetable.
