hi all.
just wondering if the "GPS .pln flightplans" at the concorde page just isn't working for me, or they have been erased and maybe a update of the concorde page is needed..?
just mentioning it, it doesn't cause any problem to me..!

Hi Daniel,
the flightplans worked fine with me. They aren't a page though. They're a link, and soon after clicking you should get a download dialog prompting you to save the *.zip file somewhere on your drive.
Once extracted you get the *.fpl you need.
Good luck and let me know if you still can't get them so I could e-mail them to you.

well, I get the Euroharmony logo, and the text "page can not be found" etc.
so it would be nice if you can email them ;) well, i'm not ATP yet, but it would be nice to look at them anyway, if it isn't to much of a problem for you ;) :>

I have the same problem as you too, but as the concorde is a retied aircraft in the museum, you can fly it regardless of your rank but you cannot file flights with it ;)

On the other hand - we could always ask the CEO and senior managment team (hint - hint) if it would be available for special one off charters - such a fine aircraft - such a waste to keep it in a hanger ;D ! And real world -if media reporting is correct - such a move is under consideration in France!

I can remember in the really really old days,(hint: that means year 2002) when I joint this fine airline. Back then getting to fly the Concorde was hard work. Back then it was part of the main fleet, because we didn't have the divisions yet. If I remember correctly, You need to be ATP + you needed to have flown a certain amount of hours in the 747 before you could take it out for a spin. And back then becoming a ATP was also something of a project. I think the amount of hours needed where 2 or 3 time what it is today. Few month after I joined all this was changed to what it is today.
Well kids that concludes this weeks episode of 'pages from the EHM history book.'

I'm really fascinated by the concorde... such a fine aircraft..! and now that it's retired it's almost like a ghost for me.. such a large bit of aviation history..!
will never forget when we in school had a européen project, and landed att Charles de Gaulle this fall, and after a long taxi the concorde was to be seen outside the window of our AirFrance Airbus A320.. really nice...! =)

No Daniel I didn't. I think the ATP was around 500 hours or something like that. I didn't fly that much in the beginning. I became ATP for the first time around October or November 2003.
And then again in the summer of 2004. The reason why I have become ATP two times you can find by reading 'history of Euroharmony' found in library under Company.

Concorde is a special aircraft to me too. Unfortunately it was dismissed on my birthday, but I could follow the last flight LIVE on BBC. It would be good if it was entered into service again, at least for some flights.
Because Concorde was dismissed it had to be gone from the EHM active fleet, but as it is a special aircraft we kept it in the museum, for a possible veteran tour, or something like that. Funny thing is that Concorde is still flying in both British main VAs fleet.

But to fly it correct is d**n har, pumping fuel right and so on.
Keeping CG within limits.
Probably the most diffucult to fly "alone" beeing both Captain, First Officer and Flight Engineer.

Well, personaly I logged over 75 hours in the Eurobusiness Concorde and was devastated to see her retired. Flying Concorde is a treat. Flying Concorde for a VA adds to the enjoyment. Many other VA's have brought Concorde back into their fleet. Perhaps EHM would consider it? ;D
No FO or Engineer? I don't know many real-world 747 captains but, the ones I do know say it is near impossible to fly 747-400 with only one pilot. Even a real-world 767 driver with whom I had the pleasure of sharing a red-eye flight was emphatic about the difficulty of flying even a 737 with only one pilot.
I've flown with the PSS Concorde and although the realism is intense, it does take away from the enjoyment of flying the aircraft. Flight Simulator is realistic in principal. Flight Simulator does a great job of simulating air rules and general procedures. No matter how advanced, not even PMDG comes close to flying the real thing.
So just jump into the captain's chair of an A380, Concorde or something from outer-space and have fun.

Good points. I've also flown the default Concorde and the PSS ship -and flying either is an absolute treat and challenge.
