So you are allready in GMMZ Ouarzazate (wonder how it is pronounced) - I hope I will have the time to fly the leg in the evening.

Thanks for the screenshots, Javier - my landing looks like a landing with three red - but it is the scenery that makes the wheels sink (otherwise I had won 1.000 points :] and had to stay in Errachidia in the Bar for some days)

On the leg yesterday from GMMW to GMFK there happened a funny thing: You remember the CTR-Controller who suddenly appeared and guided us to the airport - he seemed to be rather experienced - but before intercepting the ILS he vectored me over a mountain and told me to descend to 6000 ft.

The Mountain itself was about 5950 ft high - it came nearer and nearer and I did not know what to do - I hoped that PP lets the crash detection off in the air - but at the end there fortunatley were some inches between the Beech and the trees. The squirrels looked very upset and shook their heads.

Maybe its because the default scenery I use is not so accurate? Don't know - I am still in the team :]

Hi,

Today we got our first crash information. Unfortunately the fault was from that controller who told him to descend too much on that zone. The same thing happened to Miko, but he got more lucky.

Even if it's not the pilots direct fault because he was following orders, he should had advised the controller for that.

And, accordingly to European Flight rules, "the pilot can always override the controllers decision if the controller jepperdizes the airplane" somehow.

So, remember guys that there is no spare airplane allowed for this event. That's why the adrenalin is so high when we come to landing ;) But that's why these events were created for ;) ..

Regards and keep up the excelent flights!

I had the same problem when flying to Malaga! The approach controller told me several times to descent to an altitude below the minimum sector altitude. I advised him he was wrong but I guess he didn't understand or just didn't care. Fortunately I had visual conditions with the terrain and that was the reason I did descent according to his instructions.
Ah, another thing... he told me to fly the minimum approach speed because of an A320 10nm ahead!... Well, I bet the 737 that was following me had some fun trying not to stall. As usual I ended up accelerating regardless of the controller instruction. It was either that or cause a fellow pilot some unnecessary difficulties. I really don't know how it is allowed for people so badly skilled to control the approach position on IVAO.

Cheers,
João
