Hi
why is it that sometimes I can send my Pireps direct from flight logger and other times I have to log on to the website and submit the Pirep manually.
PS how do I get all those icons , Rank , awards, etc to appear on my postings.
cheers

Mike,
As long as you have an active internet connection you should be able to always use the Flight Logger to report PIREPS. Can you explain a little further the problems you are having posting your pireps?
Your AVATAR should be sorted by inserting the following text in to the AVatar URL section in your Forum Profile:

Hi Phil
tks for the reply and the tips.
Regarding pireps, under normal flying conditions, i.e. non pro pilot I use the flight logger to obtain details of a flight which I duly carry out and when the flight is over I see that the submit pirep from the logger is grayed out, therefore I then log onto the website and submit the pirep manually.
I have recently upgraded the flight logger , carried out a normal flight and was able to submit the pirep directly from the logger.
However on the last two flights I had to revert back to a manual submission.
However whenever I use Propilot I am able to submit the pirep from the logger everytime.

Mike,
Are you selecting the flight number and the aircraft type before starting engines?

Yes, its the normal procedure, before I start up fs9
Did another flight today, and guess what , submit pirep wasn't grayed out. The only thing I did differently was press update.

Carried out another flight yesterday and was able to submit pirep from flight logger ok.

Glad to hear you got it sorted... All these little tips build up over time and give us a good base to troubleshoot most problems with.
Thanks,
