Title: FlightLogger and IVAO
Post by: EHM-0250 Magnus on March 05, 2007, 06:19:58 pm
I made an online flight on IVAO tonight. My first since a few short ones with Gergely some years ago. :)

What's up with the Send Pirep to IVAO thing? How does that work. I don't have any access it says, even if I have the settings right and have logged in to their webpage.

Second: I filed the flight A305 as an offline flight first by mistake, so I sent it again as an online flight. That means that I have one flight and 43 minutes too many in my log.

same problem here. I've never sent a pirep to IVAO, because it doesn't work.

first of all register with the VA at IVAO, see online forum for more details....
Then, in flight logger, go to the preferences options and change the IVAO ID bit to yours..and hey presto...

I had registered with IVAO, and had put my IVAO ID in the preferences, but it just doesn't work.

I have searched the IVAO forums for answers but can't find any useful answers. I have searched their different pages but no success. Do I have to fill in the textbox in the logger with the PIREP in their format? Maybe that's what I'm missing? If so, what do I fill in and in what format?

Magnus,

I Jonathan is talking about further registering as a member of EHM in IVAO.
I think you can to that in either your personal preferences page or the VA's sub menu.
After that someone from EHM management will validate your request and you'll be registered as a member of EHM and submit the PIREP's for IVAO too.

At least that's how it worked for me.

I set it to onlive/IVAO.

I was actually thinking about being registered to EHM in IVAO. However, I can't find a way to do that anywhere in my prefs. But if I have to be registered as a EHM member in order to send the PIREP from the logger, that's my problem I think. Thanks! ;D

EDIT:
Found the application thing in the VA section. Now I just have to wait for Bruno to accept me. If he wants to. ;)

Murray, the online flying coordinator is in charge of that department Magnus.

It is always helpfull to send him an email at murray@fly-euroharmony.com to let him know you have registered and ask him to activate your membership as it is difficult for him to get the info otherwise.

Thanks :)

Actually Phil, funny you should say that. I had a look on IVAO earlier today, and it looks like the "staff" structure has been cleared down. Currently, Bruno is the only person with any sort of privileges on the IVAO VA system.

When I applied for EHM membership, it said on IVAO's page that a mail was sent to Bruno, so that's why I mensioned him.

I was approved, hehe, and I can submit my PIREPS to IVAO! ;D See you in the "real" air!
