This is just a kind of survey, Class 2 planes of Euroharmony are Dornier 120 and Saab 2000. This is a kind of survey I am trying to do, tried to put a poll here, but could not figure it out. So what needs to be put here .... Your favourite plane among the two and may be why, and also mention with what to you play.
Ok my vote is for the Saab2000, I find it extremely controllable and a joy to play.
I play with the keyboard

yeah, my vote is also for the Saab. i like it a lot! it looks very good, have a nice panel and it's swedish just as i am :D i'm playing with a sidewinder forcefeedback 2 joystick from microsoft :P
-
both are fun to fly, can't decide :]
-
Hmm Javier, I have had some not so good with the Dornier, though I like the plane for speed, I find landings really easy with Saab. But you have given your 1 1 vote ...
-
Thought I'd help out Vincent with his "poll" by actually making it a poll ;)
Those of you that have already expressed an opinion, please do so again...
-
I've voted for the Saab, it's a great looking plane in the new livery and a good, detailed model with nice panel.
Although I still prefer the ATR-42 (just to be controversial ;D)
-
Thanks Murray, how did you do that!! I tried to see for the option but did not find it!! Will need to check once again.
Dominic, you have been a little controversial, but my heart beats for the ATR. Its an awesome plane. I just love that plane. If anyday I get a chance to fly a real plane, I would choose the ATR.
-
The polls till now - Dornier (2), Saab (7), No Strong oopinion for either (4), - with these results - Saab still leads the race with 7 v/s 6 votes. I think next time I should reserve my vote and vote after atleast 10 people vote :>
So after that I will know whether my hidden vote was for the majority or for the minority of the Lot. Common guys all of you have flown these planes ... start polling!!!
-
I'm gonna go Saab 2000. The flight model for this one is excellent. Love the extra features too. Haven't used the Dornier for any counted flights yet.
-
Actually havent fly em yet, so bit offtopic but i have a question.
Saab2000 is indicated as Class 2 plane in fleet, but when you download and start to install it says:
"EuroHarmony Saab 2000
EuroHarmony v4 Fleet
FS2004
This is a Class 3 aircraft. You can fly this aircraft on EuroHarmony VA routes, if your rank is at least STC."
Just to be sure i wont fly wrong plane while im ST only.
Thanks.

Tommi,
Don't worry, The Saab used to be Class 3 but was downgraded to Class 2 when we re-introduced the ATR72-500. The installer package wasn't changed though sorry for the confusion! You can fly her when you get to Class 2!!! Watch her though, she is a powerful plane, can be a bit like a Jet fighter at first!
-
I like the Dornier. I really don't know why.

said about the saab 2000..
she shure is a little bit like a jet fighter :P swedish raw power haha ;)

I must agree on the fact of the power of Saab 2000. I cannot ofcourse feel the push on my chair because of the G force that would come when I push the throttles!!! but then my eyes can see the power in which it pulls out to take off, or when you just need that immediate power when making a flatter landing and you realize that the ground is much closer than that you thought it was and ... a push on the throttle and it eases the descent to make a soft landing (less than -200ft/min)
-
I'd definitely reach for the Saab on a C2 flight! I like the Dornier also but not as much - I really don't know why ;)

I think its all got to do with the handling. I was trying my hands on a POSKY 737-800, for some reason I found the controls too stiff and the plane could not be easily controlled with the keyboard. At the same time, a 737-400 series or 737-200 could be easily controlled and would respond to my keyboard inputs. Jets do have a know problem of power-spooling, which takes around 7 seconds before the power feedback is felt.
as for the Saab, I think controlling it is really easy, The Dornier, does good on controlling, but not as nibble as Saab, Thats where the german scores really more!!

My vote is for Dornier 328 and I use Saitek X52
