Just now I tried to install the panel for the Shorts 360, and everything was going well until this happened:
I installed everything it told me to install. Whenever I started up FS, it said that the new FSSound.dll I just installed may not work. If you want it to be compatible, click yes. I clicked yes, and FS continued to start. However, whenever I start a flight, the game crashes!
To check whether it was crashing because of this new FSSound.dll, I uninstalled everything I had just installed EXCEPT for the FSSound.dll and the game still crashes!
If the only way I can stop it from crashing is by deleting it and putting in the original file, could somebody please send it to me?

wierd, i always get that message, i click yes, but nothing happens and it just continues loading FS.
many times before i had this problem, it wasnt the FSSound.dll's fault, was some gauge in the panel:%

hmm, just found that it only crashes if I start the flight at Seattle. How weird.

Guys,
The problem is that it is an old module for FS2002 that many panel designers still use. There is a fix but you will need to edit your FS configuration file to tell it you are using old modules.
Follow these instructions. (http://www.avsim.com/~maamdev/fs9cfgtweak.txt)
This module should not cause your flight Sim to crash, if it does, there is probably something else that is conflicting with this FSsound module as I have just done a clean install of the file on my PC and I get no crashes after following the instructions contained in the link above.
Hope this helps.
