it's near that time of the year again.
The teams are chosen,

It would be helpful if one of the moderators could make a poll for this topic.
I for one, will be with Liverpool although sadly, my wife will be supporting AC Milan (if ever you felt like becoming sexist, now is the ideal time).
Promise to bring many photos back from Athens

GO LIVERPOOL!!! Yeah, of course I am Italian, but I support Inter FC which is the other soccer team of Milan....and I hate Milan AC :)
However....I am quite sure Milan is going to win this match this time....I've already bet 15euros on AC Milan...;)

Really, I like Liverpool FC. Better then Birmingham FC or Aston Villa.

I'm with Paolo on this one.
Inter has been the cleanest team and although they haven't won many championships lately, it is rather obvious why (calciopoli etc.)
Plus, as long as Gatuso is playing for Milan, I can never support it! :] :] :]

I think you know who Berlusconi is, he's also AC Milan president...:@ that's another reason why I don't love Milan AC ;)

I have money on an AC Milan win, and money on Kaka to score...so fingers crossed...
I am not bothered who wins to be honest, as long as it is a good game of footbal.., if it is as good as 2005, it will be great!!!

Well as a brit. i have say i want Liverpool to win but as a Manc i want Milan. but hope its a good a final as the 2005 one.

Well....the game just finished 10 mins ago...I think Milan didn't deserve to win :'(
Liverpool was so unlucky during the first goal....
...and now I am sure I am not going to sleep tonight because of the celebrations in the city...:[

I agree - Liverpool were the better team for 75 mins then just gave up... Very unlucky, in my opinion should have been 1-1 and gone to extra time but ah well! Let's hope that all the returning fans on EuroHarmony flights keep quiet eh! :]

Well guys, a small report from your on-site reporter.
It was a great party and despite everyone drinking non-stop since noontime, there wasn't a spot of trouble.
The game was huge let-down and if I wasn't combining the trip with some holidays I'd consider it a waste of time.
Liverpool were so unlucky with the first goal but then again, the subs didn't work either. Zenden was a complete waste of space, and Kewell was clearly unprepared. The fateful sub was mascherano out for Crouch. This released Kaka and he got the pass in for goal No.2
I flew via frankfurt on lufty and it was almost full of Brits without tickets. Funnily enough we then saw them in the stadium. Another strange thing, was all the passengers had rucksacks full of beer cans. So by the time we arrived in Athens the night before last, they were all drunk :)
I've got loads of pics and vids but no cable to off-load' them and post them.
Finally, all night, Italians and English are just enjoying the party in Athens' Syntagma square singing side by side. This has SO raised the profile and view of English fans abroad. Well done to the 'pudlians'
