Hi all,
We (the MT) have been told that the script that produces the "Subject: EuroHarmony : Your status is near to pass to INACTIVE." emails appears to have gone bonkers and is sending these warnings inside of a month.
Can you post a "me too" or similar if this has happened to you? I could do with also knowing when the email arrived, and when your last flight was *prior* to the email arriving (be as precise as you can please, it may be important)
(Oh, and I already know it's happened to Attila Gam - Dom forwarded the email on to me ;))
-
I received that email on 31st of May and my last flight logged for EHM was on 29th May. My status on my profile is active now. ;)
-
I received a message about 1 week ago, about 10 days after my last flight.
-
Received the message on 14 June, last flight 22 May.
-
Oh, and just to put minds at ease, you are under no danger of having your account actually marked inactive as a result of these emails. If you've received one in error, "ignore" it and continue to fly as you otherwise would.
I'll be devoting this weekends development window to diagnosing (and hopefully correcting) this problem, so please continue to post your "me too"s until further notice.

i got it today (14th of june) and my last flight was 11th of june..

Right...
THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!
Had the afternoon off work and made great progress with this issue. I've rewritten the status change email functionality and it shouldn't exhibit the same behavior as the old script - let me know straight away (by email) if it does.
As for why the old script was sending out emails "willy nilly", no idea! Can't see anything wrong with it at all...

I got one too today, i did my last flight 4 days ago
-
Jav, do me a wee favour and post the body of the email you got please.

Got this message today and my last flight was yesterday.

Gents,
Please let me assure you.... You will not lose any hours etc. Murray is investigating the possibility that our old server sending out these emails. I am sure he will report back soon.
Please, let me once again assure you, no one is going to lose any hours etc.
Thanks for your patience.

Yup, it's definitely the old server sending out these emails (and as such, it's not a surprise that it thinks people aren't flying, as far as it's concerned you're not... :))
Thanks to Sotiris though, I now have a chance to get on to it and turn all the old scripts off. EDIT: There we go, all turned off (you'd have thought BlueHost would have done that for us when you closed the account... Nope, they just disabled access to the site, but left all the backend scripts running...) Once again, if it happens today/tonight, please post here.
