Title: BAE 146 question
Post by: EHM-1838 Andrew on June 21, 2007, 01:54:48 pm
Hello All
Does the BAE 146 use reverse thrust on landings in the real world?.When i use the Eurocargo(or any 146 for that matter)after touchdown i will hit reverse(not always needed)but i will not hear or see any indication of anything happening.
PS the 146 seems to be a real gas guzzler too.
cheers Andy

Andy,

The BAe 146 doesn't have a reverse thrust capability which is why it has the large clamshell airbrakes at the back of the fuselage to assist in slowing down on the ground.

If you have a look at the manuals for Matthias Lieberecht's panels for the 146 and Avro ARJ (at http://www.baepanelproject.com he includes lots of very helpful info like this in there to assist you to fly accurately ;)

Dom
Thanks for that.At the moment i am content to use the simpler panel by Targan UNUTMAZ,but now a t least i know about reverse thrust in the 146.
One day i might try to figure out the more complex panel;)
cheers Andy
