Hehehe... So near... The official launch on 2007-07-08 is going to by webcasted btw, but like one of the repliers on airliners says, I want to see a 787 alongside a 767 and a 777 for size/shape comparison.

To be honest, everybody on Airliners is raving about it, but I am not getting 787 fever yet! I just think it looks like a 757 on steroids at the moment! (albeit with perky wings!) I much prefer the A330, I think it is a far more beautiful plane with better proportions :) .... but hey, lets wait till she is painted!

Since being a Boeing fan, I can't wait for this plane to take to the skies!

Agree with you Phil. A330 is much better looking. Those GEnx/RR1000 engines are just too big.

It is fantastic !

I could not believe when they said the fuselage is 1 part ! There are no bolts/rivets...ten tousands of components and the placing of them is unnecessary ! And they did it ! Well done ;)

I am typing with my fingertips.

I have expressed my opinion; you are perfectly entitled to yours. Having said that, those GEnx/RR1000 engines are just too big.

;D

Hmmm. I think its in ground testing to make sure the engines don't fall off etc, I believe they will start power up tests this week and flight tests begin towards the end of the month.

What I'd *really* like to see is the 737 re-engineered using Dreamliner "technology"...

The "plastic" no-round body, the crimped nacelles, the curved wings... if only it was a little smaller I'd be in love.
