Title: Download or Buy Boxed, Straight from Shop

Hi guys

Just a question for the future.  I was thing about buying and downloading the 737Ng from Precision over the net.  

Would you guys download this add-on or would you buy boxed from the shop?

Seem to be coming a bit of a fan of this a/c.  :)

personally (don't know about everyone else's prefs) but I'd always buy boxed if available, but d'pends on how quick you want the a/c :)

Both versions are identical and work just well.
In the end it's to a preference on whether you prefer industrial printed booklets or your A4 print outs.
I personally find the boxed version's printed material of a quality I can't replicate with my inkjet....

There is a difference......

If you buy the download version of the PMDG 737NG which only includes the 737-600 & 737-700, you will then have to purchase the Update for the -800/-900. This will cost you more than buying the Aerosoft (PMDG) Boxed version of the 737-800/900.  

So if you want the 800 version for our fleet then  buying the boxed 800/900 version will be quite a lot cheaper. Hope that is clear and understandable.

It was amazing to see FS add-ons available in a department store ;D When we were in Hannover, I saw a lot of add-ons in a local Saturn store...Level-D, PMDG, Flight-1, etc. Here we have Saturn also, but no such boxes on the shelves.

If I could simply walk down to a nearby shop, I would surely buy boxed version there, and would not bother with downloading ;)

I have taken all your points and views onboard.  One of my main concerns about downloads from websites etc is that there are no guarantee's from companies if there is a failure in the download i.e. missing files or parts of files etc.  

Which means, no money back. :[  A bit different when its free ware because there's no cost involved.  Hope that does not sound mean :s

So as you guys say, really down to preference and what you want to spend.

Well,

technically it cant be a problem. I mean the download versions work usually with free downloading and buying online registration code. So you should not spend any penny before got the whole package ;)
