Title: C1 exam today at 1600Z at LEIB (Ibiza)
Post by: EHM-0744 Alex on September 04, 2007, 12:51:54 pm
I'm taking my IVAO C1 exam today at 1600Z at Ibiza airport, LEIB.

If any EHM pilots could show up, that would be great. As some might know, VFR flights are the main concern for C1 examinations, and personally I have to say that the islands of Ibiza and Formentera (south of Ibiza, visible from the island) are very nice for a short VFR stroll.

For charts, please visit www.aena.es (you will need to make an account, but it is easy to make and does not send SPAM or anything at all to your email, and is quite useful as it has all charts for every spanish airport.)

Well,

what can I say. Everything that could go wrong, did!
ILS didn't work
Glideslope didn't work
Landing gear wouldn't extend

And finally, tried to land from 4'000ft within 6 miles and ended up planting the bird nicely on the runway...

I just hope Alex had a better night than I did. :]
