Title: DHC Dash8-Q400 probs

Ey, I have some problems with the DHC Dash8-Q400. I installed it and everything went well..until I tried to start a flight with it. Flight simulator just shuts itself down :s

Is there perhaps anyone out there with a solution/

Hello Bastiaan,

this hasn't happened to me to any of our EHM planes.
I would guess that it's probably some other program or add-on that's causing it.
For example, when I installed active camera; I could choose flights but it always crashed when I started to fly.

I will do some further testing this evening when I get back to a decent PC. In the meantime, can you let us know if you have installed anything else around the same time period?

Hi Bastiaan,

I tried on mine together with several running add-ons and it worked without problems.

Can you please give us more info on what your set-up is (operating system etc.) and what programs and add-ons you have installed.
It is most likely that this failure has to do either with any modules running on FS or, I dare say, some problematic gauges that another installation installed and are being used by the Dash-8.
Do all your other installed planes work OK?
At which point does the Crash To Desktop (CTD) happen? During flight selection, just before flying etc.

Also, another thing to try: Start somewhere on a standard plane (C172, Learjet, anything really). Then once everything is running OK, select the Dash-8 and see if it works.

Other than that I can't think of much at this point in time.
Let me know how it goes.

I have same kind of problems! But not only with Dash.. I download the plane (for example DHC Dash8-Q400) and install it normally without problems. I start my FS and select the plane and the simulator says something like this "Flight Simulator was unable to load the aircraft. You can continue using flight simulator, but this aircraft will be disabled." So can't fly with the plane :(

This has happened at least with these planes: ATR 72-500, DHC Dash8-Q400, Fokker 70, Embraer 170

Any idea what is the problem? I have FS9 with Adobe TP and FSPassengers..

Hello Tarik,

this is a regular message that is only a low warning, nothing special. It tells you only that "probably" some animations will not appear, or some gauges will not work 100% perfect. These are normally small visual bugs and do not effect your flying.

You can say YES to FS and enjoy those birds ;)

I have the same problem... but in my case all of the electronic gauges are blacked out (F70). So I can't fly :| Any ideas?

What? it must be some local setting which is unfortunate but unavoidable considering all the add-ons out there as well as machine configurations. And let's face it, Windows is not the most reliable platform :)

The Dash 8-Q400 was my favourite a/c on EHM, such a pleasure to fly that bird.
