Title: Bae-146 Cargo Animation problem

Hey guys I keep running into a problem. Before my flight, whenever im parked and i open the doors I can never get the cargo animation to work. Does anyone have this same problem? If so how do i fix it?

Hi there neon,

I'm not familiar with the BAe 146 but maybe your parking brakes were not on? or you would have to shut down engines first. if i remember correctly, the animations have seperate commands like wings fold or extend tailhook(?)

Well, there is a sequence for the animation. It will only disappear, when you close doors, and only after start engines.

After the flight it will only appear if you shut down the engines, those are completely stopped, and only after you open the doors.

Mugur,

The panel manual is a really good read that will help you understand the panel and aircraft functions fully ;)

The following quote (very slightly edited) from the FAQ's in the manual gives the answer to your question:

How could I open the second door or the cargo doors?

Opening the second aircraft entry or the cargo doors is possible with the standard key command. However there are a few things that are important for this. The cargo doors can only be opened if the fuel cocks in the pedestal panel are open, the batteries are switched on and at least the DC pump of the hydraulic system is on (brake pressure must be available). After this the key command works.

The standard key command is Shift + E + 2 by the way ;D

If you enjoy flying this aircraft I'd really recommend reading through the manual - although it's long it gives you a wonderful understanding of this plane :P

If you dont have a key you can't open doors ...


or try   SHIFT-E  followed by 2 or 3 works on most airplanes.

Thanks guys, I managed to solve the problem. The problem was that before I opened the doors I would turn off hydraulics and all other systems. Cheers guys :)
