Take a look at this if you fancy having a look around the pointy end of an A380.... Virtually of course!!!

cool =)

What is that strange lever on the side window ???
-
perhaps its to open the window....
And whats the graph in the Navigations Display??
-
The graph is a vertical terrain radar.... It shows the aircraft position vertically and any obstacles that it may encounter. The pilots use it when landing blind as so many incidents have occurred due to planes hitting mountains because the pilots situation awareness is limited by fog, cloud or darkness!!!
As for the handle..... hmmm.... I would hazard some sort of opening mechanism so the Pilot can throw his cigarette butts out without the pax knowing he is smoking! :)
-
Thanks Phil
does it work with an echo sounder or with GPS maps???
Sure an opening mechanism for the cigarette butts and it´s also important for drive-in-counter at fast food restaurants......

Nice find! they have a bigger camera in the cockpit then some of the network television stations :P
-
Totally awesome...
-
whoa cool! ;D
-
So that is the GPWS radar/map ?
Nice idea of the handle :) It looks much strong and complicated than to be a simple window opener. I think it is rather used to manually adjust wingsweep :P
Another strange/interesting thing is the FMC. Do they operate it with trackball ? No LSK keys ? ... And it seems they have a nice camping-desk on the back wall...just in case ;)

I can't see any subwoofer :[
No coloured neon lights either ;D
