Hi,
We are currently developing a new timetable. Much more realistic and more compatible with our airplanes.
We would like to show your flight "wishes" that you would like to see included on this new timetable.
You can suggest destinations, complete flights, etc.
Shoot! We will listen to you, but logically we cannot guarantee that all requests will be "pleased" ;D
Regards,
-
Here are some of past recommendations:
Venezuela:
1. Flights EHM7038, 7039, 7176, 7177, 7622, 7623, C503, C502
These flights operate in SVCL which is a VERY small airport with a 4788' long runway, no lights, no nothing.
2. Flights EHM-H1123, H1139
These operate in SVFM which is an AFB not for commercial use. It has a 5970' long runway at 2738' altitude just in the heart of capital Caracas.
3. Flights EHM-H1125, H1141
These operate in SVSO which is also an AFB. Prior to commercial use it requires authorization from the military. I hate to do that.
Ever since I joined EHM I had posted a couple of times this matter. I also suggested to include the following commercial international airports: SVBC (9890' runway) and SVMC (also 9890' runway and my hometown. Please!)
Colombia:
1. Class 7 flights EHM-7074, 7075, 7172, 7173, 7680, 7681 into SKCL but the name of the airport shows Bogota. SKCL is Cali city while Bogota's airport is SKBO.
I suggest to change these flights to operate in/out of SKBO that serves the capital city Bogota. It has two very long parallel runways.
2. Class 5 flights EHM-5818, 5838, B554, B563, C593, C601 into SKBO. I suggest to change these flights to operate in/out SKCL.
Ecuador (please correct instead of Equador):
SEQU is the airport serving the capital Quito. It is quite inside the city. Airport's altitude is 9228' while the length of its only runway is 10200'.
Incoming long-haul non-stop flights are no problem. The problem is with the departing flights. It is impossible for a plane to go non-stop to Europe. I used to fly a lot when I lived there for 5 years using KLM, Lufthansa or Viasa either in their B747 or DC-10 and neither of them could do it. In fact, I used to be in the cockpit of Viasa's DC-10 and they had a restriction to MTOW of no more than 385,000 lbs. They either went to Caracas (SVMI) or Curazao (TNCC) for refueling before departing to Europe.
Guayaquil has no problem since it is at sea level.
So I suggest that flights EHM-1177, 1179, 1181 and H1283 be re-scheduled to allow a stop to refuel.

Hector,
Thank you for your comments. I would strongly suggest that you also send an email to Miguel (Miguel Coelho) so he can analyse this situation.
Guys, please keep posting!

When I was a child I was fascinated by what my dad told me that Aerolineas Argentinas flew flights to Oceania going across the pole instead of parallel to the equator... Is this possible to add?
-
More flights from/to my home airport (LEVX) :]
-
I already sent an e-mail to Miguel, but even so...
- Flights between the diferent azores islands
- Lisbon - Porto Santo
- Lisbon - Santiago de Compostela
- Lisbon - Winnipeg (canada)
- Katl - Winnipeg (Canada)
-
More flights from and to my home airport EGSS (London Stansted)
-
Also more flights from and to my home EFTU (Turku, Finland) :D
-
Already sent the suggestions to Miguel but here they are anyway. Currently there is only one flight to/from Panamanian airports being MPTO the main airport.
Here were my suggestion of airports (the most prominent in real life):
MPTO - main international airport for all jetliners
MPHO - currently only charters but can do larger jets
MPMG - small jets and large turboprops. Used for national flights
MPDA - Flights to MPBO, MPMG, and international to Costa Rica. Turboprops, small jets (LearJet)
MPBO - Flights to MPDA, MPMG and to Costa Rica. Small turboprops only.
There are others suitable for smaller aircraft but they can be left out.
Also, more variety of longer international routes to/from Panama (MPTO) to:
- San Jose, Costa Rica
- San Juan, Puerto Rico
- Bogota, Colombia
- Medellin, Colombia
- any large international airport in Brazil
- Caracas, Venezuela
- Lima, Peru
- Mexico city, Mexico
- Houston, TX, US
-Miami, FL, US
That already gives plenty of interesting choices.

Hi Guys,
Sorry for interrupting the topic but when will the new timetable be released? Is there a date set? I think the one area that the timetable needs work on is definitely the other side of the atlantic ;D The Americas needs a good going over! Looking forward to the new timetable :>

Brian

I have a question regarding the Timetable,
When it is all updated, will that PDF file in the downloads section be updated as well?

Hello All,
My 2 cents contribution: what about adding internal US flights between the main US airports (KJFK, KORD, KBOS, KSEA, KSFO, KLAX, ...). First it will allow to use those great sceneries over there in US, without doing very long flights, second it could enable the setup of a new tour: US Tour.
This US Tour could look like:
KSFO - KLAX - KSAN - KPHX - KIAH or KDFW - KATL - KIAD or KDCA - KJFK - KBOS - KORD - KSEA - KPDX - KSFO
Therefore the related flights could be added as part of the flight schedule.
What do you think ?
Cheers

I feel that we need more flights to the Pacific...North and South, ( even a new HUB like VHHH;)...)?

Hi,
Although it is useful to practice take offs and landings the flights from Glasgow to Edinburgh (and vice versa) should be scrapped as they are totally unrealistic. You could almost drive the distance before the plane has finished taxi-ing.
Perhaps replace them with some flights to the islands?

Faroe Islands are in dire need of a connection by us, in my opinion.
EKVG, Vágar Floghavn is the only airport there, 4101 ft runway.

Well, nice to see some folks are pushing for more Central and South America routes,
EuroHarmony is not alone (as a VA) in not fully exploring this area.
There is so much to view and better understand all of these regions, we will improve
our Geography along with better identifying with our Central and South American neighbours.
Anyone who has taken the time to set up new routes know how time consuming it can be, items
like distance, airport facilities, types of aircraft are only a few considerations.
If this area is approved for review, may I suggest first that Folks from the Country involved get
the first "shot" at providing possible destinations. Then where no one surfaces for a particular
Country, these locations be "farmed out" to various individuals with accompanying guidelines
that outline the necessary data that will be required. One major consideration may be short
Flight destinations to relatively unknown locations. At present as noted above, we generally
go only to major Cities.
I will volunteer to complete needed data for a given Central or South American Country, if that is
a requirement to get this area in our Flight Logger.
Thank You for your consideration.
Kind Regards
Dan

Hello.
Im new to the VA.
But i have also noticed the lack of flights to EGHH.
I think there should be some more long haul and short haul flights to this airport.
It may not be that well know. But it is a International airport within the UK. And has one of the longest runways for an aiport in the UK since concord would land there, so it is more than capable to land long haul flights aswell as short haul.
And it is my local aiport.
Thanks
