Title: Upcoming Events?
Post by: EHM-2467 Dale on May 19, 2009, 03:09:27 pm
Are there any more events being planned for the near future as the ones on the events page seem to be a little outdated thats all.

Cheers

Dale

There are some ideas on the table already but it is always nice to hear suggestions from our pilots...

So, what thoughts do you all have for future Events you'd like to see? ;)

Robert, my friend, you're as bad as me for the love of old props :)

I'm already planning something big with props for next year (too soon for details), and I'm sure that we'll manage to squeeze in something toward the latter half of the year with an older plane,

We're planning ahead so we'll certainly try and use all the suggestions we get ;)

I would love to try again the US Airmail tour. I remember that was very popular one, and some pilots asked to repeat it somewhen.

Although a quite hard plane to manage sometimes, but an old idea is to have a nice Concorde tribute event. Like on the video of Concorde World Tour.

Another old idea is a tour for the Connie. In this particular case the hardest to find a good route, in connection with the Connie.

In the past Gergely had some idea of flights in frame of physics researches. Maybe we could build up a set of flights. Like a North-Pole to South-Pole tour on a big cargo plane, or something similar.

Also there was the airshow-tour idea, where we could visit major airshows in Europe... and the season is just about to begin ! ;D

Maybe too much ideas... now lets hear somebody else :P

Ahhh, Concorde ;)

Now there's a plane I'd love to fly again....

And the airshows one is good too, some interesting locations we could pick for that ;)

Good thinking Robert :P

Me three ;D

Is there a good Concorde model for FSX? I'd be prepared to stick my hand in my pocket if it's good enough...

As for using this majestic lady, as I'm sure we all know, opportunities to use her at full speed are few and far between... Making a "proper" multi-flight event would be tough.

There is a "new" Concorde model for FS9/FSX of Libardo Guzman. Although not really accurate at the nose, but generally looks nice and flies well. Would you like to see a nice EHB livery on it ? ;D

Is that a sly way of hinting you've already got Mr. Guzman's model painted? ;)

Funnily enough, that's one of the two models I found on Simviation by way of Google.

A new EHB Concorde livery, now that's something I'd kill for ;) (But FS2004 too please as I haven't got the new fangled version!!)

And I'm sure we could come up with some good routes, just think how many airports she flew to on Charters... ;)
