Title: Dark clouds at Ibiza
Post by: EHM-0361 Karsten on August 29, 2004, 11:53:20 pm
Here is a few shot from my trip to Ibiza on friday. Had some problems with one of the engines. So I have been stranded here since friday. Hopefully a new or rebuild engine will arrive monday.

Here I'm once again taking off from Budapest. Weather there wasn't that great either.

This shot is what the outside view looked like most of the way. I short clouds, clouds and more clouds. (by the way great paintjob Robert, love the artwork on the tail.)

One might have had so hopes that the weather at Ibiza was better. Well I think I will let the shot speak for it self.

And then here we are again, the wheels almost touching the runway.

Just about a minute after this shot, the left engine started to act weird. It as later discovered the reason for this was the engine had swallowed a bird (birdstrike). So I had to file a birdstrike report. I hope my engine will arrive monday, so I can get my passengers home.

I'm not 100% sure, as I both use some freeware and some payware from Sim-wing. The freeware I use is a mesh for Mallorca, Ibiza, Menora and Formentera. the file is called Balearemesh.zip and I have downloaded it from Avsim. It's for FS2004, not sure if there is a version for FS2002. I'm not sure how much scenery you get, but I think it will at least give you the landscape
