Dear pilots,
just like in the past, I post the fuselages of my special repaints for a final look-and-chat before release. Repaints are follows each other after the development stages, therefore you will find some "design-elements" appear differently on each repaint. I tried to put as much nationalism into the repaints as I could. I hope I could touch your taste.
So the nomenies are:
EHAM - Amsterdam:

EGLL - London:

ESSA - Stockholm:

LGAV - Athens:

LPPT- Lisbon:

LSZH - Zurich:

Thank you again.

AN idea might be that you but the language the same as the place its as.
Only and idea.
-
They all look very nice. The only comment I have that In some of the designs ( schiphol and portugal) the contrast between Euroharmony blue and the rest may be a little bit to much.
But still exellent job;D
-
A small question. Is there a special reason why the visit *** in 2005 is on the right for the LGAV repaint and on the left for the rest
-
WHen you say you tried to put as much nationalism into it. I think for the EGLL one you could have a British flag under the EHM logo.
-
Great repaints!!
;)
Well done!

Thank you for replies. Here are some general comments for them:
The main idea of these repaints is a virtual advertising of the countries and the airports/cities. The reason that stand behind this idea is, every HUBs have its own 3-4 pieces of 747s, that have fix, far destinations around the world. So 1 of these aircrafts could be an advertising aircraft to each HUB.
Language idea:
As EuroHarmony's main language is English, and the advertising text is very easy, I think English could be used for all variants.
National flag idea:
As the colors mainly represents the colors of the flag, I do not think a separate national flag should placed on the plane too.
LGAV question:
Its very simple :D The airports name is too long, and the tower image is too much to the right... but I can change it.
The colors questions:
I tried to use colors that represent the countries national flag, or represents colors, that are very unique in that country. Also a pic of the local control tower connects it to the airport again. Detailed:
EHAM: As many countries have blue-red-white flag, I wanted to add another feeling: The orange, which is a unique color in the Netherlends...I have to say I do not know the historical background behind this :D I know its a very strong orange, but this is the tone that many of you choosen monthes ago.
EGLL: This is the country where the national colrs are really the blue-red-white, just as in the national flag. Maybe the red is too much, but again, its a very strong red, that I think somehow connects with UK.
ESSA: No question, 2 colors from the national flag, I think this is very easy to understand.
LGAV: Again the 2 colors of the national flag: blue and white. The blue is a darker sky blue, which you can see on many pictures correspond Greece.
LPPT: It was a hard one, as the flag contains claret, gold and green. The main color is the claret, because of the wine. I am not sure if this tone is the original on the flag, but the national football team uses always this dark color. The sun simulates the gold...but no green. If you have better idea, I am open for that.
LSZH: The other hard one. Red and white in the flag, but the only thing I could think about Switzerland is the Alps and Milka chocolate. Snowy Alps represents the white, and the tail shows red. Again, if you have better ideas, then its appreciated.

I Thought I't might be something simple like that. :> You don't have to change it on my account. I only mention it in case it was a mistake. I agree there shouldn't be any reason for adding a national flag to the design. But perhaps let the aircrafts have the national code for the country they are from. So the aircraft from EGLL have G-xxxx, ESSA SE-xxxx, EHAM PH-xxx and so on. Just a suggestion
-
Hmm.....now how about a European Union Flag under the EuroHarmony logo on all of our aircrafts? :P
As for the scheme for LSZH, the red colour seems to be a little 'detached' from the rest of the plane......maybe light blue fading into light purple for the tail would be better? Purple from the cadbury chocolate brand (not sure if it's of Swiss origin though....)
-
The logos with the white border don't look to good. Try it without the border; and change the color of the logo to e.g. white.

Ah, I see. Well, I like the current design, but will try the white one. Do you mean painting all the different blue stripes with simple white?
Any other ideas for "problematic" Swiss and Portugal designs? I will wait a couple of weeks before release, coz, perhaps more pilots will come back online again, and probably there will be more opinions...
I think I will change the EHAM design to look more similar to the others > bigger tower and smaller aircraft.
-
Yes, or with some colour that is in contrast with the tail background color, e.g. light yellow on the dark red, white on the blue.

The Portuguese flag contains green and red, with a gold symbol at middle left (see it at http://www.mdn.gov.pt/Defesa/image/bandnac.gif ).
My sugestion is to change from claret to red and to change the tailwing color to green. It would be nicer, I think!

Thank you. I have seen many flags on the net and did not know which one is the correct color. ;D Thanks. Green tail idea is very good !

Woooo, when is the release
I especially love the Zurich one with the Alps in the background
-
Good job as always RĂ³bert!
-
Thanks. I hope, now it meets almost everyones taste. I am afraid mostly about the Portuguese one. After all of them are accepted, I will release the package very soon.
later: Oh man, I missed it ! The tail should be red and not green. I will correct it...
even later: I eited the LPPT and LSZH texture. I think this is the final version now. I do want to use red for LPPT design, because there would be too many colors. That is the reason for the wine color.

Great work Roberto! :>
Looking forward to be a class 7 pilot and be able to fly
one of those 747 repaints!
Ciao ciao!
Manu
-
Eh? aren't you allowed to fly any plane and any flights? :P
-
My thought exactly ;D
-
I don't think members of the management is above the rules when it comes what you are allowed to fly. Or perhaps it's just because Manu has been so busy with other things he haven't had time to fly.
-
or maybe he's so busy that he forgot he could :P
