That's pretty... but I think X-Plane 10 is going to be even prettier.

Let's just wait and see. Just wait... and see... ???
Not a whole lot of info there actually, just that they are doing 'something'. Well, all fine with me but i don't have an awful lot of faith left in Micro$$oft (or maybe even more $$$ now that 'Live' apparently comes into play! :-\ ) after they killed of their Flight Simulator series...
It may be continuing, yes, but i guess not in the way we know and love it.
Bests,

If, as I suspect, this will be a simplified flying game with great visuals and light fun then I may pick it up for a blast, but it's unlikely without the required depth (knowledge of which that may have been thrown away with the aces team) that it would replace as my main flight simulator.

I remember (maybe you too) when MicroProse released "Grand Prix 4" the latest version of their fantastic F-1 racing simulator. The project task was to make an easy-driving, arcade style "simulator" for a wider market, not only for simulator fans... the result was MicroProse closed and for many years the "Grand Prix 3" still remained the best F-1 game on the market.
Perhaps we will see something similar with this new game... I hope not ! But if we think about they left out the "Simulator" word, perhaps you will be right and money talks.

That teaser is also a render - it's not game footage.
Anyone else remember the DX10 image + DX9 image preceeding FSX?
