Title: PMDG 737
Post by: EHM-2383 Ian on November 14, 2010, 12:21:33 am
Hi

Yet another problem with PMDG 737 aircraft!! I wonder if anyone else has come across this and knows of a solution. I have installed the PMDG 600/700 v1.3 and the 800/900 v1.1 aircraft. I have also run the programme that updates the 600/700 craft to the 800/900 standard. Everything is fine with the 800/900 aircraft but with the 600/700 aircraft the buttons on the panel that provide the various views are "haywire". For example, the O button simply makes the main panel disappear and doesn't show the overhead at all; the F button does nothing, etc. I can get the overhead but only by pressing shift+7 but it comes up behind the main panel.
I have only used the 2-D panel so far and fly FS9 with Windows XP.
I saw on a forum that a solution was to uninstall all the 737's and re-install making sure everything was done in the correct order. No joy for me! The problem remains.
Whille I mostly fly the 800 with Euroharmony livery, I find it frustrating not to be able to use the 600/700 aircraft properly. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Ian

I know nothing about the aircraft, so beware what I say, but how about installing the 600/700 again,  in a different folder to the 800/900?

Hi Ian,

I'm attaching the panel.cfg from my PMDG 737-700 2D version - check it against yours first to see if there are any obvious differences, make a backup copy of your current one and then try this one.

I've never had the same issues you report with my PMDG 737's but I always use the VC version anyway.

Let me know if this helps at all and if not I'll put my thinking cap back on...

You are a star, Dominic. Your panel works perfectly. Thanks for that. Something must have gone wrong with my installation process.
