I flew a fairly long ATR72-500 flight today from Heathrow. As I managed to grab some pretty decent screenshots along the way I figured I would post up a little trip log.
This is the Flight 1 FSX model with REX+OD FSX enabled for clouds, water, lights, and runways. I am also using UK2000 freeware Heathrow scenery and Ultimate Traffic 2. I was on call this afternoon so did not fly the route on VATSIM as I would have liked-just as well as I find FsInn is an FPS piglet to be honest. I did fly it in Propilot though ;).
Routing from EGLL was EGLL BPK5K BPK N601 LESTA Y250 GASKO P18 ADN P600D KLONN P600 VAVIG ENZV from RWY 9L with cruising altitude anticapted at FL230 as wind reports aloft were excellent (I averaged generally 27kts tailwinds the entire trip which is nice for a long ATR flight). No holdups at EGLL beyond the icky weather and once over the clouds the weather and flight were smooth and uneventful. The routing takes you up over London and then the East Midlands and the Humber before finally heading over the North Sea near Aberdeen. ATC decided to give me a straight-in RWY11 ILS approach into Stavanger and after an uneventful by-the-numbers landing parked up and called it a day.
Enjoy the images:

p.s. Oooops I just realized this flight should have been set for Mon-Weds-Fri. I wasn't paying attention in the Propilot selector as I just sort by available aircraft. Call it a reschedule of a cancelled flight from yesterday lol ;D

Lovely shots again ;) Although I prefer to use the older brown flight deck for my ATR.
I've been having issues getting FSX running stable, although I think it's ok now.
Been flying around Darwin in Just Flight's new DC-3 over the Orbx FTX Scenery (whole of Australia that's now on discount to clear the boxes ready for the sp4 replacements (sp4 is a free download)).
Tried a couple of times to make the Darwin -> Alice Springs hop in the A320, but FSX crashed yesterday and this morning, almost at the end, the autopilot decided to put the plane into a nose dive. In pulling out I overstressed the aircraft so epic fail for the second time there.
After that I flew the CYCG to CBB7 Wild leg in the Aerosoft Twotter.
Spent a small fortune this week on FSX - in flightstore sale + aerosoft sale, and today getting registered FSUIPC and WideFS to offload some of the programs to network computers.
Just need to get the Orbx Northern Rocky Mountains and the EZdok Camera Addon for Wild now! ;)
Just in time for X-plane 10 to be released :P

Nice ones again, Ted!
I just love the ATR, though it took me quite a bit of time to get used to it at first.
Oh and the "uneventful, by-the-numbers" landing is what discerns the wannabes from the real pilots ;)
@Alexander: You appear to have exactly the same plans as me, FSX wise. :)

I bought the rocky mountains!

Yeah-the F1 ATR is a real bugger to fly properly. Happily I got a lot of assistance elsewhere and am quite comfortable and confident with it now.
I am constantly tempted to pick up the F1 PC-12 but am put off by the fact it is a port over from FS9 and the ATR has lingering issues that F1 refuses to fix as it is a legacy product now-but they are still charging full price for it ::).
Not to mention that the freeware PC-12 we have is fully functional and flies great (even if it is slower and less altitude capable than the F1 model. And I can happily fly SID/STAR routes with the freeware PC-12 as well using FS Commander as the GPS which you cannot do even with the payware version.
Now if the Twin Otter gets a EuroHarmony FSX paint I'll definitely buy that one hint hint ;D.
Anyway glad you like the trip shots.

I think the Twotter will remain exclusive to the WILD Division, Ted. At least for the foreseeable future.
It has the freeware and AeroSoft payware paints in WILD colours, as well as an X-plane paint available.
And yes, I can recommend the AeroSoft one for FSX 8)
