Hey,
Last week I visited my parents in brussels. They live really close to the airport. On some days they are directly under the take-off routes. I took some pictures and would like to share them with you. They are rather big as I was to lazy to resize them.

Nice shots, i was going to say that it looks like a peacfull area but it won't be if it is under the flight pathLOL
-
It must be a paradise for those who like planes. :)
Unfortunately I never see any planes in the sky here... the airports of Bucharest are to the north of a city and have an east-west runway orientation.
-
I get alot of planes flying over my house. I get VFR following the golf courses and big planes landing at EGCC or departing.
And im hoping to do a week at Barton (EGCB) for my work expirience.
-
It is nice if you are visiting;D
This also goes on at night with big heavy cargo planes. It is like the try to hit the roof of your house. Very noisy!!
Next time I'll get some pictures from planes landing. At Brussles airport you can practically stand at the start of the runway and almost touch the landing aircraft. Much less noise also:>
-
Pretty cool, I dont get many over me low, maybe 5000ft (4000ft if I'm lucky :{) as they go to Mayfield before they go on the finals to Gatwick. Saw concorde fly over once....very high, must be going to Paris.
-
Nice planes though a little small :) I get to see a lot of planes too as Changi Airport (WSSS) is just a few miles away....most of them are jets, particularly the 747s....hope to see lots of A380s when 2006 finally comes around ;D
-
Well, it's nice at the beginning, but after some time... It's really annoying.
Grew up under big asses taking off and landing at paris charles de gaulle LFPG.
Try to make a barbecue on sundays : every 20 seconds VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I won't even mention the... concorde several times a week. Feels like cap canaveral ;D
And your garden flowers dying from kerozene -_-

I'm very close to a SID for Barajas, mostly Iberia A340's going westward to USA and Latin America. They pass a bit high though since the aiport is North/East of Madrid and I live North/West but you can still hear the engine noise quite well and see the airline colors...

I was working in Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport last summer for a ground handling company HAVAS and I saw many mid-sized jets. Touched them, sat in their cockpits. It was wonderful... At that time I understood that I must be real pilot when I have 35.000$-I wish some day... ;) Anyway... Unfortunately haven't see the big birds... :( But I will fly to Istanbul and I wish I will be in a big one... :)

Im living under the flightpath to Arlanda (ESSA) and a bit north the flightpath to Stockholms city airport Bromma (ESSB). As if it wasn't enough i live nearby an airfield were they are flying VFR all the time, Barkarby (ESKB).
My neighbours don't like it. ;D
-
Some time ago I lived under the flightpath of Augsburg EDMA.
Ok, the "big" ones like DHC8 or Fokker 50, which passed us about 3000 feet, were just ok within the sound, but the smaller ones (Cessna 172, 182, Piper V35) and so one which passes us even narrower could get you desperate a little, when you´re have to stop talking to another one, because he won´t understand you..........
-
Hey Lim, you are a lucky man!!! Changi must be a dream for plane spotters!!!
At the Euro-Airport in Basle you can see mostly narrowbodies. Not very impressive. :% Sometimes some A300, and the most interesting day is Friday after 10 am, when a Korean Air Cargo B747-400F is taking off. Wooow, awesome!!! :>

sorry to say this but BORINGG!!!! lol, they only passenger planes who cares lol they are slow, un moverable planes that do nothing but fly passengers.
-
Ah.....but you see we do care about them! ;D
-
god, lol ah well i aint going to involve my self in your crush lol to me it aint a big deal
-
I've seen a Spanish Air Force Harrier land and talked to the pilots at Rota Air Base (LERT), about a year ago. (If that's what you mean by a big deal EHM-GFZX:) )
-
lol, but im guessing none of you guys actullay fly?? As in any jets or anything.... Im a pilot for the air force thats why im saying they are boring. I just dont find what is so intresting about a plane which moves so slow, which is hard to move around, which doesnt do any low level flying nothing whats so ever kool.
But you guys are hooked on them... in my base i see people taking photos as i take off from my base (Raf Leuchars) they stand outside the base near the runway and wait for us to take off, to me thats sad.
When i had my 1st shot of up in the helicopters i was in a Gazelle which was Army Air corp, and we were annoying the hell out of the photographers. Because pilots dont like them...
Sorry if that was harsh or it annoyed anyone i dont mean to
-
Yeah well but not everyone can get to be a fighter pilot.....and for the rest of us that aren't, we can only take photos and dream...... :|
-
true... well il let you guys keep on dreaming then lol ;)
-
my grandad leavis near a raf base, but i cant take photos due to the big sign saying 'DO NOT TAKE PICTURES OR FILM OF THE AIRFLIED'
