Have a favour to ask of you guys ;)
Could anyone help me to take high resolution and high detailed screenshots of all our six hubs as well as training hub(namely EGLL, EHAM, ESSA, LSZH, LPPT, LGAV and LROP), preferably with focus on the buildings at these airports. I need them for a small project which i will be working on from late november and onwards. Any help would be greatly appreciated! ;D
-
I advise you to search some photos at Airliners.net, or make a Google search. If you need airport layouts, you could search the navigational charts. For this you can search the airports at www.adg.dk which will guide you to the local VATSIM center, and there you probably find some fine PDF charts. I hope it helped. ;)
Oh sorry...or you need screenshots from inside the game???
-
Yup i need ingame screenshots ;) prefably from both FS2002 and FS2004 if possible
-
All right then, I have a very fine EHAM, LPPT and ESSA sceneries, I can make those.
Do you need only the hangers, or the piers/office buildings too? And what views? Front/rear/top-down... or just some aerial shots to have a general lookout? And to say, I have FS2002.
-
Are they add-on sceneries? The hangers are the most important but some shots of the piers and office buildings would be appreciated too. As for the other hubs could they be taken with default scenery?
-
I have LAGO addon for EHAM, and freeware for LPPT, LGAV and ESSA... and as I remember I red that there is a freeware for LROP too. But I do not know any freeware for LSZH.
I will post here some shots, adn you can decide if it fits your requirements. Of course I will store everything in high quality, and will send you via mail after selection. Ok?

Maybe this is also interseting:

OK, thats it for now. I hope it helped for a first round. Now I could not show you an open hanger, but there are some, and looks very good.

Looks good! Which buildings are those showing the large KLM hangers? and what do you mean by open hangers? are there any hangers that the plane can taxi into? Could you like say circle out the hangers and office buildings? i'm pretty bad at recognising these different types of buildings :P
-
Well, the big KLM hangers are all part of the very old Schiphol airport. You know it has a very short runway remained from the old days, and next to it there are the hangers.
I will post some more shots from these ones in the night. And yes, there are hangers with open doors, where you can taxi into. The interior is very simple, just a huge texture on the walls. If I remember, the Transavia hanger is open at this EHAM scenery, I will look for it.
-
Zhen Yi,
I've got the British Airports Vol. 1 (SE England) Heathrow scenery, as well as the Airports 2004 Heathrow scenery, both of which look very nice, so I'll see if I can grab a screeny or three tonight when I try to get SB working again.
No promises, my loaner GFX card is quite pants and I haven't been able to get FS to display any of the scenery in all it's glory yet...
-
hmm i think i'm looking for those hangers that you can taxi into.....any shots of them? :P
-
I am sorry, but this project gota little out of my view. Now I am back with more shots:
The open hanger of Martinair, at EHAM:

And an example of visually open hanger: texture on the door.

And the KLM site in more details. I am not a Dutchman, so I am sorry if I state here something wrong ;D :
Well, here is the layout:

The small hanger:

The office block/storage (probably):

And another facility block, next to the KLM block:

I hope it helps now. Just tell me if you need anything more :)

Hmm just some questions, in the open hangers is the space inside the building much larger than what can be seen? as in is there space behind part of the grey cardboard like walls? and the large and small hangers are all closed boxes where you can't taxi into right? Could you take one or two more shots with the open hangers with a large jet like the B747? i can't get an impression of how large it actually is with that tiny plane :P would it be possible to somehow obtain the dimensions for the open hanger? and maybe some inside shots of the hanger? Thanks for all your help! :)
-
Well, here are some shots from the only-open at EHAM. You can see, this hanger is not enough large for a 747. You can also see, on this hanger, the left door is open and the right one is closed. Inside the hanger there is not anything. You can see the outer walls inside without textures. It is very simple inside, but it is difficult sometimes for the video card to draw a polygon that have both sides important. It would be better to make the wall from double polygon, with 2 individual textures.

Note, that this, and the above KLM hanger complex is just an example. You can make more detailed, or more individual designs.

Thanks a lot! Those pics are of great help! off to the drawing board now.....i guess i'll just modify the open hanger a little bit cause i have to keep them architecturally constant......that's why i requested those pics :P Just one more question, are the "large hangers" bigger than the "open hangers"?
-
Good Morning
Can someone tell me what plane is to see on that link???

Hi Lim,
you know, you do not need to take these pictures as base. I mean if you want to model a hanger that is large enough for a B747, than do it. These are just visual models, also the textures on the sides are not correct many times. But I think, the open hanger is smaller (not as wide and not as tall) than the presented large KLM. Although the textures show 4 door-pairs on that, I think it is capable to hide maximum 2 B747s, or 3-4 smaller planes.
Hi Garfield,
I think there are 2 ATR-42s, and an unknown variation of Embraer Jet (maybe 190 ???) on that picture.
-
Hi Roberto.
Thank you. Seems to be the Embraer 145.
I think it´s looking very elegant.........
Do you know if it´s available for the FS2004???
-
Hi Garfield
There's a model of the Embraer 145 from Dreamwings available at Avsim. just search for Embraer 145.
