Title: Propilot and charter flight
Post by: xzornixz on April 24, 2012, 01:42:20 pm
Hi! Since I'm one of few pilots participating on the propilot event from Arlanda I thought it nice to bring one of the swedish registered A318 to the event, and wondered if there is any possible way to make a chartered flight from ESSA to MKBS on propilot?

Regards

Hi Bard,

No problem at all - if you check the timetable you will find a new (since 5 minutes ago!) Class 5 Biz flight from KATL to MKBS (and return) - so you should be able to create yourself a route from ESSA to MKBS in two or three flights.

Just let us know what tail number you're taking and we can reserve it for your use for the Event ;)

I will be creating a whole bunch of new aircraft for the Event for those who would prefer to deadhead to MKBS and find a plane waiting for them  ;D

Great! If possible then, I would like to take the SE-ECS for the tour, including the shuttle flight from ESSA through some other airfields on the way to MKBS :-)

There are specific event aircraft lined up at MKBS to be flown, but you can still fly over in the airbus if you wish  :)

I fly the Wilco/Feelthere A318, saw that the repaints was for the regular A318 :-)

I've been looking through the EuroBusiness routes, there are no possible way to get the A318 across the pond, the only routes are class 7, and the system won't let me fly a class 7 flight with the Airbus (I am a class 7 pilot, it just won't let me select any other than class 7 planes)... So if there isn't any easy way to fix this I'll just have to deadhead :) Do we have any Arlanda based aircrafts parked at MKBS at the start of the event? :-)

If you wish to arrive in PPflight, must be to use class 7 until Atlanta (KATL) and then take the last available: N503EB   Airbus A318 Elite   Operational   KATL in order to fly KATL-MKBS ;)

Ah, but I wanted to have a swedish registered A318, and the only two are at Arlanda :-) And it isnt possible to fly the A318 on class 7 routes, only on class 4-6 :) So guess I'll be deadheading to MKBS and hope that there is a aircraft available for me there :-)

All pilots signed up to the event are guaranteed to have an event aircraft waiting for them.

Sorry Bard, I hadn't actually realised that there weren't the connections available to get you across the Pond to KATL! However, as Alexander says, there will be aircraft available at MKBS for all pilots to use for this Event so you need not worry :)
