Title: Help for Kris
Post by: EHM-1199 Philip on March 24, 2004, 04:20:26 pm
So, we're all back to first flight for EHM and dusting down the old turbo props.
What's your plane of choice for your first EHM flight now that we're all picking from the Class 1 planes again?

Beech 1900D, still my favourite Class 1 TP (even if the JS41 is faster...) and handily it's in the training fleet too :)

EDIT: No, no, no, what am I saying? The missus'll kill me!

There I go talking utter gibberish again. Of the three Class 1 TPs, the jetstream has the lowest cruising speed, and like Gizmo says it has terrible flight dynamics in FS9, and of course, since the last big fleet shakeup the B1900D is no longer in the training/GA fleet. Otherwise, I stand by my original post and vote...

Does the Dornier have opening doors or any features extra, like Virtual cockpits:s

I also used the Beech 1900D for my first return flight with Euroharmony. I think it is a neat plane to fly, and the panel is "awesome".

It's the Dornier for me.. The Jetstream 41 is all messed up, I really need to fix her flight dynamics one of these days. She's uncontrolable :P

Hello Kris!

If you want I can help you, since I have complete EHM fleet saved in zip file form in my aircraft archive. If you want, I'll send them via E-mail to you. Let me know.
I have both versions: for FS 2002 and 2004.

Peter

That would be great Peter. But how big is that ZIP-package. And I just need the Class 1 planes, by the time I have enough of those I guess the download-section will be ok again.

(I edited my previous post...)

Bah! Until I get my FreeBSD Samba DC running again (the 40GB IBM DeathStar I was using to hold /usr [and the home directories] has died, so I can't get active access to My Documents any more and FS9 hangs when it tries to get into the My Flight Sim Files folder...) I can't make any flights :[

I have found my "spare" 40GB Quantum that used to be in my TiVo before I upgraded it so I'll replace the IBM with that... with luck I'll be flying again before the weekend... :]

Try and see - I downloaded planes last night from the download section of the site. (That is the 24th March). It worked fine and I filed my first flight.

The FS2002/FS2004 downloads appear fine (well, both the Beech 1900D ones did) but I seem to remember Maarten saying that they had been unable to recover any of the FS2000 fleet...

I still get the following error:

"The requested URL/~aircraft/fs2002/class.... was not found on this server"

I get this message with all the planes, wheter theý are for FS2000 or Fs2002/2004.

I tried to download since the website is online, but still no results.

I find the Jetstream 41 easier to control than all other Class 1 planes. Just made my first flight for EHM a while ago with that plane! :)

Beech 1900D for me. Best turbo-prop in my opinion, even if the Jetstream 41 is faster.

Cheers,

Alex;)

hmm looks to be pretty even all around with the Beechcraft only leading by one vote.....no particular favourite class one plane in this airline it seems!

I havent flown at all latley, not to mention the first class planes. But from my experiences I like the Beech 1900D the best. Of course my favorite plane in the fleet is the Boeing 757! Go Boeing! hehe;D

Edit>> I forgot about the Fokker 70! I love that plane more than I love the Boeings! I flew over 30 hours with that planes before finally deciding to move up to class 5 planes. lol

Scott, you haven't flown at all since the big crash - it's quite a jump going from flying the big heavies back to the turbo props. I don't know about others but I had forgotten how many weeks it takes to get back to the jets.

I prefer the Beech 1900D as I have an brill X-plane model which is modelled on an actual plane. The pilot and creator confirm its near perfect with its flight dynamics. The rest of the Class 1 fleet aren't available in X-plane yet.
