Yesterday (27/10) me and a mate from IVAO went up to London for a few hours spotting at City Airport. Never been there before and thought it would be less security conscious (which it was) than Heathrow, and so we managed to get a good look. It is amazing how close you can get to the airport walking along the pavement....almost touching the executing jets. It was also nice to see some smaller aircraft as oppose to the big jets................

Note: I must have taken about 70 pictures...these are a few of the best. It was only a little digital camera...so not the best quality.

Must add I didnt know it got so busy there....there was an aircraft landing or departing every five mins or less.:o

How did you get so close to the planes??
Even at the small airport of Augsburg (EDMA) you can´t get
so close....

wauw very nice. I guess we all have to go there to take a look. Maybe we should organize a Eurharmony fieldtrip;D

The photo of the swiss aircraft landing looks to be a pretty good effort of panning! :)
