I agree that the Screenshots Library is pretty, but I can't Log-in to library :(, and I can't vote in tehe contest :(. When I try to log in on Pilot Id: 1498 and Password: my password :) then the library shows me "Invalid Pilot Id or Password" :( What shall I do?

Be sure your password is correct, tell the webpage to send it back to you so you can check.

Sounds really weird. I think you should try once more. I have just checked your pilot id and your password, and have been able to log in. I think you must have hit a wrong key. As far as I know the SSL is connected to the same member database as everything else. So if you are able to submit a PiRep, then you should be able to log in to the SSL. Try again and if it still doesn't work then contact your hub captain or me, and we will do everything to help you.

Check your not trying with my ID 1365, got an e-mail saying that I have requested my password :o:o  I know I didnt request it!

Or maybe there is a hacker among us:8

One thnig that really is a bummer.... the fact that you can only up-load 150k pics. Ive tried everything and it wont upload, cos' of size. Could we bump up the size? Or have an external host (e.g. imageshack.us) were a mod looks at the pic first?

If you can, try to lower a bit the image compressing quality. I use Photoshop and usually the images fit into the 150k with even many details, and I usually select quality level 8 out of 12.

Post by: EHM-1077 Emanuele on December 02, 2004, 12:48:31 am
Hi Tim,

as Roberto suggested, any program to edit pictures
allows you to set the compression/quality level of
a jpeg. Given the 800x600 pixel limit, you can easily
lower the file size under 150K if you set the level
somewhere between 70% an 90%.

If you have a picture that you really can't
get under the 150K limit without loosing an
unacceptable amount of quality, please post
it here as an high quality version and let me
try.

Ciao ciao!

Save your picture as a JPEG, then it still has good quality and also very small!;)

At school i wanted to show my mates some of my shots in EHM. The quick way to go about it was to use the search function and type Jonathan Rasmussen.

Everything i type in comes up with this text:

Quote

stringToQuery::error 07 - Invalid Pair

What can i do to make this work!
Title: Problem with search function.
Post by: EHM-1077 Emanuele on December 21, 2004, 11:38:33 pm
Jonathan, the search function available in the Screenshot Library has
some (hopefully) nice features, but is nowhere near the flexibility of
a search engine like google.com, where you type anything and it will
come up with reasonably good results.

In the case of the Screenshot Library, you need to provide
at least -some- hint of what you are looking for.
In your case, as a search by name is not available,
you need to insert the string pilot=1343 to retrieve all
your screenshots.

This said, please notice, beside the Search button, a question mark.

If you click on it, you'll find the documentation of the Search function,
and the other type of search that are currently available.

Hope it helps.

Ciao ciao!

Manu

Hi Ben,

I made the same as you and it didnt happen.
Maybe it is a problem in your IE... can you please test it again on the next voting phase please ? Before doing it, clear the cache of your internet explorer (if you can) and you the "Every time you visit the page" cache handler :)

Thank you and Regards,

Hey Guys.

A little request. With the addition of the 737-600 to the fleet, although it is not eligible for the fleet. Could you please put its name into the dropdown menu in the screenshot Library. I ask this becuase I plan to fly a publicity tour in it around Europe. i would like to post Screenshots here and on virtual.planepictures.net, is it posible to implement this

Thanks

Although it is technically possible, I think we should not add a plane to the SSL menus, until it is not an officially EHM plane. And the B737-600 is not in the fleet at the moment.

For planes that are not in the current fleet, there is the field 'Other' in the drop-down list.

Hi Guys

Seen as i cannot get online (for the near future anyway) Would I be able to take a screenshot of one of the EHM planes in the IVAO livery, for example, the new Fokker livery.

Although I may get online very soon, please would this be posible

The Training Fokker-70 is an official plane of the fleet, so I cannot see any problems of posting pics of it. ;)

edit: Oh, I see why you asking this. I am afraid if you do not take the shot during the online session, it is not allowed to be entered in the contest, although you can post it.

Hi all,
Next voting phase is here, and I have tried everything imaginable with no luck....I'll have to get on the other PC to vote I think.
:[:[:[:[:[

I have tried with both IE and Firefox...both copmpletly 'reset'. When I go to the voting page, I get the whole layout as I should, just no pictures in the boxes, I can vote if I want...don't know what for though;) .  It is the same in the personal shelf where it shows all my shots I have submitted, but it doesn't actually show them.

Hi Ben,

maybe your security settings are too high? I can see the images, but sometimes I have the same problem on other sites, that the images are not shown, if those are came from a PHP, or such database. I know it is because of my firewall/web filter settings, but I cannot solve it...

Anyway, next to these difficulties, EHM SSL is perfect at me.

Hi again all,

I have found another one of these strange happenings.....its not with images this time, but if I click on this link on the site, it tells me that I havn't opened the page from the main site, if you see what i mean :s . Again, on the other PC it works fine. The page of the site is a secure one requiring a log in, so could it be a security problem somehwere - I will check out my firewall logs, see if it has blocked anything.

Just more clues, may help someone to crack the problem;)

I'm not sure I am happy that it has blocked it just because of it's size....LOL....maybe it didn't mean that ;).

But I went to the voting page and viewed the log, it showed several entries like above....so I knew to go sort out the Ad-blocking.

Great news methinks :D:D

Thanks everyone for your help......and Manu, great SSL
