Are there any YES and Jon Anderson fans here (besides me)? :8
-
Hmmmm....bit before my time i think....I seem to remember YES was a bit of a failure in the beginning (well before I was born;)).
I must add thought that I have only heard one song and it wasn't too bad :)

A friend of mine is a huge fan. I was gonna d/l some of the music and hav e a listen. YES is a little before your time too arent' they Gergely? ;D
I prefer older music myself.

YES? Jon Anderson? never heard of them :P
-
Same here.. !
But' Ill ask my mom ..lol ;D

Well unlike most of you here, YES isn't before my time. I have done a little reading in my music dictionary and found out that the group was formed in 1968 in London. So I was about one year old when that happen. But I have to admit that the only thing knew about YES before reading about them, was that it was a band/ music group. The only group I ever has been a fan of (and only for a very short time) was KISS, in my wild teenage years ;D

d**n '68? I'm from '82 ;D
EDIT: No wonder I never heard of them ;)

I dont know about YES but I have heard Jon Anderson, and regreted it. I am a big fan of Eric Clapton

I'm a big heavy metal fan ( and everything else that is noisy for that matter) so sorry no Yes. But definetly no rap or R&B, makes my ears hurt

Well Rico not necessarily, because like many bands that have been around for a long time, YES has spilt up and the come together again a few times. Last that happen was in 1991, so you could have heard about them.
It's a funny thing that Razza mentioned Eric Clapton. One of YES first live performances was in Nov. 1968 as varm-up at Creams last concert. Clapton was a member of Cream from 66 - 68.

All the funny group names they have....YES...KISS...CREAM...LOL :P

YES still exists, their last album was released in 2001 (Magnification).
I bought my first YES album last year (it was The Ladder, released in 1997), sincle then I have more than 30 albums (including Jon Anderson's solo albums, and his collaborations with Vangelis, Oldfield, Kitaro etc).

If you think those names are funny then what about, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bachman-Turner Overdrive or Greatful Dead. Last band is by the way still active.
