Title: Missing gauges
Post by: EHM-1199 Philip on March 25, 2004, 09:22:07 pm
Having installed the B1900D I seem to have a load of missing gauges in my panel.
Any ideas why this would be?
I have installed the additional panel into the B1900 folder and then the gauges included into the FS2002 gauges folder. Still many blacked out circles and squares on my panel.

I think you need a couple of FS2002 Pro gauges to let the panel work.

I'd be really grateful for that - the panel does look like it's well designed and should be one of the best of the class one planes and yet it's unflyable at the moment as the gauges are missing. Soon as you're able to send I'd be grateful - Phil

It seems that all the missing gauges are copyright protected by Microsoft, at least thats what they say on fsgauges.com.
Which brings me to the following, does anyone know a good 2 engine turboprop-panel that doesn't use FS2002 Pro gauges and can be used with almost all turboprop-planes.
Or even better a throttle-quadrant which you can use with the B737 panel (I use the B737 as my default panel for 2 engined planes if I can't find a suiting panel).

The gauges of Microsoft are copyrighted indeed. This means that it is not allowed to 'share' these files through the forums of EuroHarmony.

I will not close this thread, because I read that you guys are looking for an alternative panel, but please stop talking about copying copyrighted gauge files.

For planes I cannot find a good panel, I always use a panel called "gentprop2002.zip" by David Burgin. Although I do not know if it uses the gauges you are missing or not, cause I have pro version of FS.

I guess you can find this general panel on AVSIM or FSPLANET...I hope it can help.

I completly understand why Microsoft doesn't want us sharing it. (I probably do the same if I were them, which I unfortunatly are not).
But could someone tell me in which FS-product I can find the CONCORDE.GAU.
Most other gauges that aren't freeware are part of FS2002 Pro I recently found out.

Then it seems I need to get my hands on FS2000 too. I hope I can get it for a small price somewhere.

It should be selling at around S$20 which is about US$11. but there's no guarantee that the gauge is in it or that it will be compatible

I red at FLIGHTSIM.COM probably, that some 3rd party panels also contains CONCORDE.GAU If you start a search at the big freeware FS sites, I am sure you will find some panels discussing the problem.

I remember there were many sites that had concorde.gau, for example David Maltby's site, as it was needed for his vc10 and bac111 panels. I think an internet search will do it.

Problem solved thanks guys - fifty quid lighter and a version of FS2k4 installed and everything seems rosy.
