Post by: EHM-1505 Phil on November 14, 2004, 11:16:58 am
Hi there everyone,

I,am new to this forum but i,ve been with Eurohamony for a few months now and i want to do a few flights on-line.
Question! is there a way to find out the active runways in use before you do your fight plan.

Hi,

You can check the controller's ATIS in Servinfo, if a controller is online.

Active runways are usually decided according to the direction of the wind; aircraft have to land and take off in headwind. However on some airports, the active runway might be one with tailwind, due to geographic or other circumstances.

Thanks,
But what if the controller is not on line and you have parallel runways so as to plan for sids and stars
