Title: sorry again
Post by: EHM-1199 Philip on March 29, 2004, 04:11:43 pm
There seems to be a whole shelf full of budget (30UKP) driving pedals on the shelf in PC World. Anybody recommend a similary priced set of rudder pedals running off a USB connection and thus avoiding the heavyweight pricing of CH Products?

The pedals from my PS2 Logitech FF wheel (that came with GT3) work on the PC...

I would assume pretty much any USB pedals would work.

Can you actually set them up to work as ruddar pedals though Murray?

Yup, the wheel and pedals count as just another game controller as far as XP is concerned - if I really wanted I could use the buttons on the wheel to trigger stuff; they count as valid DirectInput controls.

The pedals aren't all that comfortable as rudder; the return springs are a little too strong. However, they can be picked up on eBay for not very much...

Cheers for this info. Murray. I did see an American company (I think) offering USB CH Products pedals for £59 but then I guess there's the hassle of postage and packing ...

When I make a decision I will of course feed back to this forum so folks can follow my decision or learn by my mistake.

Anybody know if I can install two game ports on one comuter - one from the onboard sound card and the second from a PCI sound card? My joystick is still a gameport one, and I would try to make some rudder peddals using an older joystick.

Best regards,
