Linux is an open source - operating system for pc´s.
It´s similar to windows, but there are freebie or very cheap distributions.
The same is about programs for it.
For Example I use "Open Office" it works very similar as "MS Office" but is for free and you can generate .pdf - files with it.

No linux - distribution wants to spy on your pc, like windows does.
You´re a little more save from hacker - attacks and so on....

But there are only a few games really working on it. For some of the other games there are programs which "translate" the games for linux.

Thank you Tim,
I´ve heard about the Cedega, which costs  five € per month, but that isn´t worth to me.

Do you know any cheaper or even free alternative????

Thanks

Manu
