EHM Newsletter?
« on: November 01, 2004, 09:11:45 pm »
I am pretty sure that something like this has been posted before. But here goes this version anyway.

I would like to propose 2 Ideas for a fortnightly newsletter that will go out to all EHM Pilots.

1.I would be happy to make such newsletters but i feel I would need considerable help.
The idea would then be to send it to all Hub managers and then they forward it to all members of their Hub.

2. The second would be a newsletter that is posted in the Forum. That would be a problem because a large number of our pilots are not members of the Forum so i would think the 1st idea is the best.

What do we all think!:s;)

Hi Razza

There have been talks about a newsletter among the members of the MT. I'm not sure about the frequency of such or when it's going to happen. But I'm rather sure that a newsletter of some kind will see the light of day. And it will be a newsletter that will be sent by e-mail.

Could a poll archive page be made to keep the result of the archieved polls and maybe even let them remain open to voting though only the newest poll is displayed on the front page?

I think the archive bit might possible, think I have seen that on other websites. However the idea of having the polls in the archive to stay open, I don't know about that. That's some technical stuff that I don't know much about. But if I understand it right, I would say it's a no. But like I say it's not something i'm sure about. But that raises another question for me. What would the point of having open polls in a archive be.

Well it would allow polls to be introduced faster so that the front page poll won't stay the same for too long as well as allowing the older polls to gather more votes so that the statistics derived won't be irrelevent due to too little votes ;)
