As a truckdriver lots of my collegues only want to drive with one kind of brand or make (e.g. Volvo or Scania) is this the same in the skies? I mean, is an Airbus pilot so into Airbus, that he/she dont want to fly a Boeing, sujesting that they are allowed to fly one.:%

Dear Niles,

As I know, you have to have some certificates to be able to sit in the cocpit as a captain. It depends on the airline that you are working with. If they have got Airbuses and they want you to fly with Airbuses you have the certificate lets say A320 certificate. With this certificate you are allowed to fly an A320.

It is like to have a driver licence and certificate. You have to have a driving licence and plus you have to have a certificate lets say Volvo Certificate to be able to drive Volvo. ;)

All I know is this. I hope the information is not wrong. :)

Regards.

Emre.
