EHM Anniversary Event: Discussion Space
« on: April 26, 2005, 09:20:23 am »
Somewhere for discussion and coordination of the upcoming event to mark EuroHarmony's birthday.

I'll kick things off with - The dates/times in Gergely's announcement for the event are the correct ones: 29th April with first departures at 1830Z (1930UK/2030CET). Cyriel's event page has the date wrong (at the time of writing) and the time listed may need clarification for those that don't quite understand how the timezones work in summertime.

And just so everyone knows, I'll do my damnedest to be there, but my FS2K4 is completely fecked and I'll be reinstalling for a day at least to get it close to where it was... If I can't fly I'll put in an appearance at Heathrow as ATC (if there's space...)

EDIT: To treat this post like a blog for a wee while, thought everyone should know that I have FS2004 re-installed and running (took all of last night!) I am installing the UK VFR Scenery and Terrain tonight, hopefully along with the PMDG B1900D and 737NG series.  Then it'll just be a case of getting the last few bits and pieces running tommorrow (WideFS/FSUIPC and the RealityXP 530XP at the very least...) prior to the event on Friday.

UK will likely be fully (or near enough fully) staffed, given IVAO-GB online night is Fridays...

Enjoy your flights... :)

Best wishes.

Pilots,

Today is the day. Let's honor our VA and bring us to the sky!

Don't forget to take pictures and send them to Cyriel for him to post them.

If someone cannot be present, no problem ... just have to wait another year ;). hehehehe.

Regards,

Great event from my perspective.

Thanks to everyone that took part (Gergely, Bruno, Cyriel, Ben, Des, Iain, Jim and anyone I have missed) and an especial well-done to those of you that flew both "legs".

Next event I'll manage to get two planes that work and proper navigational aids, promise ;D

I also really enjoyed that event, a good few people came, and really filled up poor little Bern. I think that the controller was a bit shocked by us all flying out of there (some unsuccessfully...) in some planes that were maybe a bit to large.

All in all a great night out...party was a lot of fun in the pilots bar aswell ;) , who would of thought our stewardesses were so much fun :8.

Take care all,
