Hi

3 days ago I requested the online blue award after attending the flyin (my 1st online flight), but it has not arrived yet.

It might have something to do with the fact that I misfiled the PIREP (using flight no. EHM-9999) - I forgot to enter the fuel I used. I did use the Report PIREP mistake form, but the PIREP has not been altered yet.

When can I expect to recieve the award, and when will my PIREP be altered?

Also, I appear to be 'not permitted' to view the EHM Museum forum. Is that normal?

Sorry for causing trouble and more work for you guys.

Hi Iain,

Those awards are assigned automatically by the award system. See here

As it says it is run about once a week, so when it is run you should get the award.

Also the fuel is an optional item on PiReps, and it wont affect whether or not you get awards. You don't have to record it, and if you forget to fill it in it is no problem. As for the PiRep being changed, unfortunatly this is something that I can't change on it, but hopefully someone else can?

Hope this answers your questions,

Oh, well thanks for the info, but when you log in to your profile, it says, request award. Should that page not be deleted to avoid confusion?

And I have noticed that when you look at the valid PIREPS on a route, they all have the fuel, but if you click to see the complete list, then some do not and it is these ones which are rejected.

Thanks

No, a valid PIREP is one that has all the fields filled in. This is so data can be generated. However, a PIREP is still accpeted if only the compulsary fields are filled in. i.e those with a * next to them. They are still used towards ur hours!

I´ll correct the blank fuel field for you this evening. Is is correct that you filed a PIREP Mistake report for it?

- Fuel amount set to 527 lbs.
- Blue Online Award added manually, so you have it right now.

Congratulations with your first online flight! I hope you enjoyed it.

Class, thanks Maarten (the spelling mistake see below never happened). Do you know about this problem as well?;-) And yes the fly-in was great.

Many people write my name (Maarten) as Marteen, but this is the first that someone writes my name as Murray.;)

For your other question you have to wait for a reply from the Fleet Manager. He´s the one who knows all about our aircraft :)

Hi Iain,

Your award should be added from an automatic script that runs every week.

Even if Maarten gave you the award manually, the script delets all your awards, and from a "search" engine it looks to all your validate flights and tries to "see" if you have to receive an award or not.

So, all you have to do is to wait a little bit until the script runs again ;) ...

Regards,
